Personally I’d rather them take their sweet time testing double and triple checking to ensure the next gen is perfect and meets the expectations of a vehicle with a $80K+ price tag.

I agree, and I’d say it seems like they have been, given that the new model has been seen driving around (in camo) for around 2 years.

You sure you saw a 2020 order guide? Can you post it here?

I just looked at the 2020 Order Guide for the Suburban. It’s on the gmfleetorderguide.com page in case my upload does not work.

Wait! When did you get your new 19LT?! Congrats.

Thank you. Got it on April 18. Just used it to bring kids home from college. Hard to find base LT trucks that are not black around here. Got 26 mpg fully loaded with four adults and cargo.

What was shocking when I was looking for a new truck is that we now have a Florida based dealer chain that has been stocking 2wd drive Suburbans at their Northern Virginia store, which makes no sense to me since we need the 4wd when it snows. This in turn has caused some of the other dealers to follow suite.

and don’t laugh but rumors are swirling around a new Sequoia in 2022.
I'm not laughing. I saw one of the new RAV4s at Home Depot yesterday. Seriously good looking little SUV - if Toyota does something like that on a larger scale with a Sequoia redesign, it will make waves fast.

I spoke with a GM employee this past weekend. She installs the driver door panels in the Texas plant. She will be changing jobs in July, and new production will roll out in September to the tune of 500 units per day. She did not know any power train info (different meetings), but did confirm more inside room and different body lines.

Yes, I read that too. GM is taking one more year to refine them. I really wanted to see them soon but I'm ok with that. They've been testing them for close to 2 years but if they need another thats better than releasing them too soon. And maybe there is some new technology that is just around the corner that will now be added to more models, something like self-driving/super cruise.

Folks - the caddy, gmc, and chevy will be 2021MY, not 2020. I have the order guides on only from color changes. Check out TFL Truck or GM Authority as well. They will likely hit the market in 2020 and be a 2021MY.

GM has been running the model changes on these wagons about every 7 or eight years. That being said, the GMT900s hit the market in the spring of 2006 and they of course were 2007s.

Reminds me of 1990, one of the shortest model years for GM that I can recall, just a few months, especially for F-Body Camaro/Firebirds.

So, if GM keeps to that history, the T2 SUVs will be 2022 or 2023 models and hit the lots in 2021. Stranger things have happened!
This. I remember how early the 2007s came out - didnt do it with the 15s though. I bet the 21s will be out by this time next year. And then the current gen should become affordable - I will then hunt for a blue xl graphite ed. with a 6.2...

Nope! It is crazy how much they go for! The Escalades too, well into 100-120k, then for us in CA, when you pay the sales tax...Oh my Gosh, you are losing $10k just as you stroke the pen with ink on the buyers agreement:eek:

Does anyone pay that though? I ordered a vehicle and with very little negotiating got 10% off msrp.

Also, I just built an Escalade and checked every option...couldn’t get it over $104k?

Just got an approval for repurchase for my 2015 Yukon Denali from GM due to mechinal issues I've been having. Anyways, went to look at some Yukons this weekend at our local dealer. There wasn't one at the lot witht the color we want. I ask if he could order a 2020 model since I've heard production starts in June. He mentioned 2020 models can be ordered but I would have to wait 3 to 4 months for delivery and they have no picture and pricing yet. He said its a new redesign. I was a bit confused and maybe he was taking about the 2500 HDs. He said no the Yukon. Don't know but thats what he said. I'll be calling him in few days and see what he came up with.

Well that certainly confuses things.

Certain dealers and areas of California have buyers that are sometimes willing to spend their money just to prove that they can afford it, so for those few dealers that have a fully loaded model with extra mods done on the floor, you would be surprised that they actually do sell, and then 3-4 years later you see them selling for $50k less on the used market.

Try another dealer, that salesman is clueless since the 2020 order guides are already online and no major changes. They could do a mid year model change which that info isn't out yet but it may be a 2020.5 or 2021 model with early release. But do you really want the first year of an all new model?

Cadillac-Escalade-Interior-Spy-Shots-June-2019-002.jpg

Spy shot of next gen interior (or at least the mule they are testing) - credit to GM Authority. They said this was for the next gen Escalade, but I think its the Yukon based on the climate control knobs.

Another big thing to note is the loss of the column shifter. Replaced by the buttons to the left of the screen?
