Over 260 is NOT GOOD. The new fluids are ok up to 260.

I've pulled an 8600-lb trailer into the Rockies, up to 9700 feet of elevation, in the summer, while running the air conditioning, and the transmission never got above 240° with the stock cooler.
Ditto when I pulled a 7,000-lb trailer on I-70 through the Eisenhower Tunnel, elevation 11,100 feet, also in the summer, also while running the A/C.
Nor did it go above 230° when I was offroading in Canyonlands, when it was 115° on White Rim Drive, driving slowly (no airflow other than what the fan could move), and again with the A/C on.

If you have the RPO code KNP, the heavy-duty trans cooling system, and you see the "trans hot idle engine" message, there is most certainly something wrong with your truck. It's not that you're just working it hard and it doesn't have enough cooling.

Reference:2013 LTZ that I have owned for a few months.

Drove home from our cabin Sunday pulling a small enclosed trailer and noticed that my transmission reached 203° by the time I pulled into the driveway. Never saw it this hot. But it makes sense being that it's cooled through the radiator...right? Outside temp was in the 90's.

Just wondering if it's normal because I'll soon be pulling a much larger trailer in the Arizona Heat.
