Vladimir you are on point, low oil pressure at idle is always due to leaks in the system. Most common, loose rod and main bearings, next possible leak would be loose cam bearings. Properly built the engine will hold good oil pressure hot even at idle. We measure in pounds of oil pressure in the USA and your thoughts on 0-40 compared to 0-20 are probably spot on for a tight engine. I would not expect more than a 5 psi change between the oils used. For a guy with only 15 psi at idle that extra 5 can be very imprortant. For a guy with 50 psi at hot idle either oil works fine. Glad your new engine has worked so well for you. I am still very impressed by how fast you got the new engine installed and working. Good mechanics over there!

I drove 700 miles on 0-40 oil during the run-in, after which I filled 0-20. It seems that the version that it is necessary to pour oil 0-40 is confirmed, at 0-40 the pressure is high, and at 0-20 it is about twice as low. Do the photos confirm this? :) But no, fans of this movie, :) it's not that simple) after running in, I filled in exactly the same oil that I used to drive 75,000 miles on my previous engine, this is the oil from the Belgian company Wolf 0-20 dexos. Why did I fill in 0-20 anyway? I talked to the Service that made this engine for me. Everyone they made an engine for runs on 0-20 oil, and the mileage on the new engine is already high. So, they poured 0-20 oil on me, I rode a little, warmed up, drove along a small section of the highway at a speed of 70-80 miles per hour, and that's what my oil pressure is 0-20. Wonders. it is about 300 kPa. I'll even post a photo of the oil pressure 0-40 and 0-20 next to it))) at 0-20 it's just a little lower. well, about 300 kPa at 0-20 and maybe 320 kPa at 0-40. My opinion is that either the software has changed and GM has increased the oil pressure, or this is a new modification of the oil pump. But oil has practically no effect on pressure. The pressure on my new engine is clearly higher than on the previous one.
This is great comparison data. Thanks for sharing.

Keep in mind Vladmir is near Moscow where they have 6 months of temperatures between 0 and 35* F. The oil chosen matches the weather they drive in. Would not be the same choice if living in Phoenix or Las Vegas where you might switch to a 5-40W for protection against the heat in summer months.

Not exactly. Yes, I live not far from Moscow. But I travel far from home. And in the summer, I go to areas where the air temperature rises to 100F.
But even in hot areas, I would never pour oil with the first index of 5. Starting is the most harmful mode for the engine. And L87, even in hot areas, only needs oil with the first index of 0

So Vladimir you drove 700 miles in a week to break it in, since then have you made any prolonged 100MPH runs? How many miles now?

Yes, hello, everyone. Something I spun around and forgot to write further.:). We agreed with the service after the first oil change to drive another 1500 miles, already in normal mode. And then change the oil and cut the oil filter again. I drove about half of them around the city, and the other half I drove on the highway, with the trailer at 95-100 mph. Having traveled about 800 miles on the road there and back. We went rafting on jet skis with friends to a neighboring city along a beautiful river. After arriving, we changed the oil and cut the filter. Everything was fine in him. No shavings, no metal particles. Now I have been filled with new oil 0-20, and then a change after 7000-7500 miles. Now I have driven about 3000 miles, after replacing the engine
