Sorry for so many questions, but I have another question

Is the back cover of the steering wheel easily swappable?

Thanks again for the help

Thanks for the links. I already hit them up and they have none. The sites don't keep up with real time inventory.

Tried rock auto. Looks like I'm junk yard hunting....

I hit rock auto and they showed it available with a one day delay:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/acdelco,22947769,steering+wheel,1320

When I bought mine, a couple of years ago, 22947768 (titanium interior), I bought it through GMPARTSNOW.com. They were available, but I had to provide a Valid VIN to unlock the parts from GM backstock... the VIN was the key to getting the parts drop shipped from GM.

I trolled craigslist for a couple of weeks and I finally found a 2013 Titanium interior Suburban LTZ. and they were able to get GM to accept the "special order" and ship out the wheel.

I am assuming that GM is just stingy on RPO configs and if they did not build the vehicle with the wheel, they don't want to let you have the priviledge, later.

Original OEM with the black peeling spokes. (already pulled the airbag...)

Completed-with-Airbag20180310_113152.jpg
New Titanium Wheel with Heat! (with original Airbag re-installed)

Good luck and Cheers!

They're unobtanium. Rock Auto, etc. say they have them. I even had one "on order" for a day, until I got a cancellation email. I bet I've checked 20 different suppliers. They're gone. I've called a few buddies with access to distribution channels for GM parts. No luck. I have a saved search on eBay. But so far it either turns up a ragged out used one or a NOS one at $350+ (when GM was selling them last, they were $210).

I'm considering leather wrapping mine. I'd like it to be a bit fatter anyway. But the wood insert will leave a cold zone on the front of the wheel, not to mention a bit of a lump that I find mildly uncomfortable. So that's not an ideal solution.

We might see NNBS trucks hitting parts yards fairly soon. I suppose there is a tiny chance of finding a wheel that way. But non-wood, heated leather wheels appear to be rather unusual. And the LKQs near me have an annoying habit of stripping off any valuable parts before they put them on the lot. So even if I find one, it'll likely need recovering. No better than eBay at that point.

I'm so kicking myself for not ordering on in November when I bought my Yukon.

I've read only on the Suburban LTZ, not the Tahoe. But I read it on the Internet. So...

You might be right about that, the 'Burb comes to mind but not the LTZ Tahoes. Have to ask the guys here who have them. It was not available on the earlier ones either if memory serves.

I missed my chance to upgrade cheap early last year.

I emailed gmpartshouse.com about the cashmere and there are none, BUT they said they showed 3 ebony or 22947767. I ordered that one and it should be here tomorrow. I think the black will look ok since there are is a lot of black trim around the dash and the center will be brown. Sort of a two tone look.

Need to figure out a way to take the back cover off of the steering wheel. They look to be rivited on
