Also, when I needed a hub and figured I'd go ahead and do both....best deal I found on Timkens....and they were legit after inspecting them post-delivery.

I might catch some flack for this opinion, But welcome to the tahoe wheelbase/steering radius. They are "twitchy" as hell and driving them at speed requires constant steering input, they do allow you to make a u turn on a one lane road but it comes at the cost of straight line stability. This opinion is based upon our 03 tahoe which never failed us mechanically but was a chore to drive on roadtrips, our 08 denali xl 131,000 miles is so much more stable on the highway and while towing but your not flipping a u turn like the old tahoe.

you must have had some suspension issue's both my nbs yukon xl and my nnbs yukon xl drive better than a sedan and they have a pretty good turn radius I mean not much will flip a ***** in a 2 lane but it's pretty good for the size, way better turn radius then my silverado

My new favorite thing is stuff on eBay with the "Make An Offer" option. Hahaha.. I'll shoot them a crazy low offer, they counter, I counter, then I often end up getting things super cheap I was already prepared to just pay market price for. That's what happened on those Timkens. They were listed at like $215 or something, got them for $176.

I took a chance on the steering angle sensor and steering column bearing from Dorman for my 2004... They both went bad about 3 months later. I now have Genuine GM and ACDelco parts ready to replace them when I have the chance. I'm not looking forward to having to do that again! Don't buy Dorman!

Initially I just snagged them because I was about to go on a long road trip and the OEM ones were shot. Just needed something quick & cheap. That was almost a year ago and they're still doing just fine so no reason to change them.

Didn't know about the sensor, but the bearing for sure is a known bad one. Not all of their parts are that way.

How do you know when that steering angle sensor goes bad? Did they start that in 04?

I think you start getting the stabilitrac warnings. Might be related to having JL4.
