I don't see the big deal. @Galante just jumps in the pool.
Lol, kind of reminds me of that scene with the candy bar in Caddyshack.

Yes, I'm copying him on this one. I like my tail lights but they are too dim. I need to give more notice to people who are riding my ass.
I like to say sharing the same idea , not copying lol . Can’t wait for install pics

I removed the washer fluid reservoir, discovered what appeared to be electrically taped original pumps front and rear (hence why the fluid leaks out). Replaced both pumps. Drove around thinking how happy I am that 2 months ago I bought this GMT 800 series because I see so many on the road. That, and I really love how they look inside and out compared to the 900 series. #ICallMyTruckBaby

Got the oil pan off, oil pump replaced, timing cover on. Was planning on getting the pan up tonight so the rtv has a good long time to cure but I'm just not feeling it.

Front crank seal wasn't leaking but it was about to. The thing's all stiff

While the front of the engine was clean, the underside showed some light brown varnish that wipes off with a rag. Going to shorten my OCIs a bit to 2.5 to 3k. Been at 3.5 to 4k. I blame that bit wholly on the short trips I do around town. The freeway trips just don't make up for it

Little failure analasys:
I was experiencing oil Pressure fluctuations when warm, particularly at higher RPMs.

The pickup tube o ring was soft and pliable, no cracks or other concerns.

Oil pump tolerance was. 004" consistently within the gear set

Bypass valve showed some scoring exclusive to one area. My suspicion it it was sticking and causing some erratic behavior. My fingers are too large to fit in the passages and feel for any casting flash, unfortunately

Got around to putting the foot well lights in. And I added some led 194 and man did it turn out great. These are during install and not of the finished product but just thought I'd show it.

Where'd exactly did you jump the wires off of?

In the drivers floor board fuse box there is a gray with black stripe wire next to a red wire in the orange plug. Connect the positive wire to this and I grounded them to the metal plate the light is mounted in. And it works great.

What's that wire for? When do they come on?
