My older buddy had a 69 with a Hurst. He used to take me cruising at the mall (before I was old enough to drive it) and set off all the car alarms chirping it into 2nd up and down the rows in the parking lot. Good times!

Yea.... that '70 GTO...... easy long chirp in 2nd...... (I could burn the rubber off those rear tires)....
I used to "cruise" the car.... 4th St San Rafael, Marin County, Calif.... 1976 (?) The year George Lucas filmed American Graffiti on that same street !! I think it was '76....

Modesto, some.... San Rafael was main street ( They made the street a one-way during filming)....
Petaluma was the scene for that 'chain hooked to the police car', in a lot..... ( next to what was the 'State' movie theater)
The drag race / Chevy crash was done on the Novato to Petaluma highway 'back roads'.....
I lived there .... when they filmed there... My friend maintained the Yellow Duce Coupes & Black '55 Chevys, during the day, as the filming was at night.
Memory serves me, there was 2 metal 'close-up" Yellow Coupes, & 3 fiberglass for action scenes.

Detroit speed buily this monster they have quite a few build and drive videos of the car out if your interested. i used to own a 91 rs 305 maybe 9 yrs ago and im looking for a new project.

Have a link? So your RS was a tbi? My friend had one and turned it into a Z28 clone. I had 3 350 tpi Formulas, and they were pretty quick. One was an ex DEA car--which I didn't know at the time.
