Just got my build sheet from @GM Customer Service and figured I'd post it up on here for everyone to have some light reading. Are all 5.3's from this year Flex Fuel?

gmfs is weird af, for truck enthusiasts they belittle and try to talk anyone out of modding anything unless it's specifically engineering and made to just bolt on, any little deviations going to cause a 50 car pile up and endanger half the population.

the early flex fuel trucks use a sensor by the fuel tank iirc, works good but the sensor is expensive if it goes bad

Well I'm only using 87 octane so should that matter? Also they want EVERYTHING CM'd and Welds or OEM wheels on every vehicle

Not all were flex. Yours is, though, with the Z VIN, for the L59.

And I believe @randeez is correct. Your 02 should have the sensor. It's usually under the driver door somewhere on the fuel line. I think it was 06 they went to the virtual one (VFFS).

Thanks. Also kinda odd that it has the ZW7 package on a 4X4

Probably a tow package thing. Weight dist hitch and HD trans cooler, too, which is nice. And the 3.73s.
I wonder if mine was an oddball build? I would expect a towing package to have the stiffer Z71 springs

Well mine isn't ZW7 anymore then. One of them was blown and I just replaced them all around with parts store shocks for a regular Tahoe. Will get ZW7 shocks next time

Save your pennies, then, buddy. You're better off without them, some would argue. You don't have a leveling compressor or error messages? Maybe the previous owner already changed it over?
