Here is a look at my Spyder LED tail lights with JDM Astar reverse lights.

Santas little helper was my videographer. Keeping her quiet on Christmas Eve for 1 minute was a challenge, but she rocked the video role.

Nice and bright. I like those tails too. Pretty cool.

Mid 70s and breezy. Perfect day to make this happen.

Still a ways to go but already looking good.

Now back to it.

A good day today. Started early with a wash and clay bar. Then polish and top coat.

I hit all the door jams with some polish and top coat as well as the lower rocker panels (where the running boards would bolt in) and the wheel well trim that is not covered by the plastic liner.

I had some Rejex that I wanted to use today, which I have used before, but forgot what a pain it is to buff out.

I already had quite a bit of product down and between the DA and hand it cost me some extra time and muscle to get it off. Grrr... Rejex is rejected.

Then I grabbed the Surf City Garage Black Edge Wax that has been in my shed for a while.

It says it is the new standard for black and dark paint. I do have their gloss and sealant which I do like.

This stuff comes out charcoal color and spreads ok. It buffs out much easier once it glazed over. End results of both products to be determined.

Nothing is as easy as the Collinites 845, which is my go-to favorite. It is super easy and slick, doesn’t take as much product to cover the truck either. It doesn’t seem to last a super long time. Then again nothing does in the tropical sun. Lol

I used the Trinova last time, which I was pleasantly surprised with how well it held up and beaded the water off.

A few reflection pictures of the roof, the lift gate and the weapons of choice for today.

I still have some more detailing I want to do this round, but getting all the paint sealed up was a good victory for today.

And some fresh matte black spray paint on the lower frame.

Damn you do nice work. I think I washed the Hoe once or twice this past summer lol.

Thx man. On a very rare occasion, lol, maybe I should just have a POS??

That way I wouldn’t care so much about how it looks and runs and just let it be like the rest of vehicles on the road.

Smh....prolly not going to happen and especially living where the sun shines all the time.

Got up this morning to finish a few things before making slime and playing Rock Band with my daughter. And that was all before noon...lol

As much as I disliked the Rejex and found remnants today grrr, I kept it all the same and sealed the door jambs on the driver’s side so that everything but the roof was coated in it.

I also polished the wheel faces and spokes out, then sealed it with the Rejex.

Other reviews said it was better aimed for that type of application. Will see.

All the windows got a copious treatment of Rain X as well.

Always something to do, but a good push this weekend since I had some time.

I’m looking forward to and dreading doing the long body next.

No time to find a cool photo location today, so the driveway will have to do.

I think even if you bought a pos, you wouldn't be able to leave it alone. First you'd have to clean the wheels, then after looking at that you'd surely have to clean the body--of course to match the clean wheels--etc, etc. You already know how it would go.

The spokes are painted and the actual face is machined with a clear coat.

I used the clay bar, then Meguiars Ultimate Polish and finally top coated with the Rejex to seal them.

More just to get rid of the brake dust, road grime and hard water build up and put something on them.

Thankfully the Powerstop brakes don’t dust that bad and of course I try to wash the wheels often to. Or allow any long build up.

One day I will pull the wheels and give the insides a good detail as well.

Thanks man. Not much different than other pics, but all the paint is slippery and clean. So that is a win!

I apply it to the entire truck but only about once per year, right after claying and then polishing!
