That black rear pillar applique- is that a Yukon thing that I just never noticed or did someone wrap or paint it? I've tried to picture how mine would look done that exact same way, to make it look like the glass wraps around. Are there any other pics of that Yukon, like from that same seller selling other parts?
YES...on most Yukons the ENTIRE applique and the spoiler for the 3rd brake light is black.
Noticed this a few minutes after I bought the part and contacted the seller to see if he still had them and he said no. And yeah, every other Yukon I've seen they're all black. I've been wondering what it would look like in black with just the top part body colored, but not today I guess.

Weird, because mine are body color

2001 Yukon SLT
2012 Yukon Denali XL

Actually I took another look today in the sun and I think mine are black also, and not body color. It's hard to tell because mine is the carbon black which is like a very dark grey/black metallic. Not gloss black like my 2011

Thanks for checking and reporting back. Maybe I'll wrap a black trash bag around mine to get a visual.

I need to do mine soon. I've had the truck since 93k and now it has 143k.

I try to do everything annually as a habit i'm rough on my vehicles but I take care of them flush everything and also do a visual inspection once a month for any wear, leaks or missing parts. I learned a long time ago that if I don't take care of my vehicle it wont take care of me.

Alright gents, I'm back, t-13 days till the cross country drive, checked my wiper blades (silicone), changed my oil, drained my catch can (very surprised how much blow by this picked up), and put in a small emergency trauma kit and road side kit just in case something was to go bad. I'm looking forward to the trip, however slightly anxious as it is winter time and I have to cross the pass at Shasta on the way down I5 before I head east to see a buddy in texas before I head to SC. Also took her to the alignment shop this past weekend and got a nut and bolt done and rotated tires/checked alignment just to make sure I was good to go. Having a slight rubbing issue when rear suspension is loaded and hit a bump, but to be expected with a level and 305/55's. Hope everyone has been doing good lately and happy New Year!

Some are bags would help out back. Less than $100 and easy install. Amazon carries them

Shasta is no problem at all unless it's actually snowing in which case just approach with a full tank and expect possible delays while the plows do there work, so far the 17th looks clear, driven that way more times than I can possibly remember, closure's are rare.

This was a few weeks ago but forgot to post it here. Finally changed out my tired old bump stops, which were original as far as I know with 145k miles on them.

Co-worker told me yesterday that my passenger side brake light was out. Picked up new 7443 bulbs today and replaced brake bulbs on both sides this afternoon.

While I had the taillight housings off, I removed the D pillar covers (appliques?) and blew off any cobwebs and junk from the under side of them.

BTW, yes they are just black and not body color black

Thanks guys for the heads up on shasta and the well wishes, I'm heading back to Cola for a couple weeks before I move up to DC to my new duty station (navy relocation) I'll be gvegas for a few days visiting friends, if you see a dark blue tahoe leveled and not squatting like an idiot, that's me lol. I used to go to NGU so I still got friends up that way.
