And from what ive read, seen, heard that trans am in that jump scene had a beefed up suspension and worked motor because a stock T/A would not have been able to make that long of a jump

iv'e had 2 of those a 79 & 80
the 79 came with 6.6l old's 455 & turbo 400
the 80 had a standard chevy 350 & turbo 400 w/shift kit
80 is when they added the dumb epa smog crap CEL
And they were both slow, weren't they

Drove it 750 miles from Detroit to Greenville, SC... Preformed flawlessly, averaged about 18 mpg.
