I've heard they burn out as well, I was more or less going to switch out everything on these now so I dont have to ever go back and fix it.I've noticed a lot of those around where I live and most of them the daytime running lamp/strip go out.

It sure is. I'm actually in Greer off highway 101 (so just an exit away!).Right up the road from me in Duncan, SC. Small world.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/268029760556786/Took the burb to one of the trusted motor rebuild shops around here. The owner thinks its the main bearing. So, with them, options are 42-4500 to rebuild, or 6200 for a re-manufactured motor.
Going to stop by my mechanic and see how much he would charge to put in a new motor that I would have delivered. Found an LY6 on lowmileageparts.com for 3k. They have a decent warranty, but outside of that I'm not sure of their rep. If I choose to go that route, I'll just drive it till either it blows, or until the motor comes in stock.

You got an XM sharkfin antenna?Drove around in a rain storm, trying to locate the source of water in my driver's side floorboard. I've scoured the webz (seems a common problem) and still can't find where it's leaking. Damn it.
You're goddamn right I do. I asked my mechanic about retro fitting an 8.1 into it awhile back...he said it probably wasnt a good idea. Not to mention the stuff from that site is bare bones...I'm sure I'd need all the computers too...
Nope. My hole lies elsewhere. You got an XM sharkfin antenna?
