the housings, or the bulbs?

LED bulbs I feel are a lot brighter, but don't have as far of a range, if that makes sense

for the housing, I feel like they are pretty much exactly the same in terms of light output

Yesterday I got my shipment of deadener in

since I usually spend like $500/vehicle (Second Skin Damplifier, B-Stock) and only keep them for 2 months... I went the "cheap" route this time.

180 square feet of Amazon Noico 80mil for $319.95

unfortunately, it left some pretty sizable holes in the headliner, so I have to go check the junkyard and see if I can find some headliner with a Sunroof, without any dvd players

my box designs should be done this weekend, and then I can pay my guy to start working on A-Pillars, boxes, and front doors.

thinking 3 10" mids per front door currently

6 12" subs

about 10kw, and 100ah of lithium with a 390a alt

haven't had much time to put into the vehicle with all the hours I've been spending at work lately

that being said, I dropped off my panels and money to get my stuff built

so here's the design for the 6 12s:

went with 3 Eminence Delta 10A's and 2 Selenium ST200 tweeters per door

about to go deaden some more doors and try to get my head unit and backup camera installed

spent the last few days working on head unit and wiring stuff, ugh.

GM did not make these vehicles with enough space back there for all the wires I try to jam in there

had to cut out the support again to be able to fit things

surprisingly put back together nicely

no sound right now though, because this vehicle has an OEM amp that I have to bypass still, but I just wanted to get the vehicle drivable again so I can drop it off and have my rims swapped hopefully this week

by the time I get back home from work at 5:30, I only have like an hour of light left

managed to get the brush guard put on today

starting to get ready for winter ramming

lemme tell ya, that Denali bumper is a pain in the ass to work around

we ended up just pulling the entire bumper off to do the work

I think I'm gonna order some fog lamp LEDs, a cool American flag front plate, and HOPEFULLY get my new rims on this week lol

I keep saying that, but right now the back of the vehicle is just storage for all my audio junk, and I don't wanna drop the vehicle off at the shop with a bunch of goodies free for the pickins

I'll be running a CES (Custom Electric) 390a hairpin alt, with 4 runs of 2/0 positive and negative, and a 120aH Veachium lithium.

gonna delete the front battery too

I love having steering wheel controls lol. Worth the $50 in my opinion!

I haven't even really driven the truck yet, but I'm already considering getting one of the Axcess things for my Grand Prix now lol

went to have my rims installed today and the ones I bought were all jacked up and the guy wouldn't risk putting bent rims on $1200 tires

I don't blame him, and gave him a $20 just for sharing the knowledge instead of doing it, but maaan I never even thought about rims being messed up.

time to shop some more

about 1,000 miles round trip from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Crossville Tennessee, to pick up more audio crap I really didn't need.

learned a couple things

1) about 4 hours into the drive a check engine light came on
2) the sunroof bug/wind guard sounds scary as hell above 100 MPH
3) I average about 14 MPG highway which is the best of the 3 fullsize GM vehicles I've owned
4) my oil pressure gauge doesn't read correctly

How'd you get it up to 100? I think top speed, if you use a gps, is around 97 mph, even tho the speedo says 100.

mine had no problem making it to around 105 MPH before the noise from the wind guard was freaking me out enough to stop

we've also had my mom's Denali up past that as well

speedo readings only, I don't know how accurate they are, especially with me running oversized tires

Before my mods, my 4.8 Tahoe topped out at 97, that was with the gps on. I've had it to 127--with the gps. Was still pulling hard when I let up. Lol, just sayin....
