I am very happy with the results. I went back in and cut the bottom of the baffles to let them have some more air space and they sound great.

Then I picked up a ready to mod Esky 3rd HMSL and spoiler from Lee @goodinblack for a song

When I received it the spoiler was black... imagine that... so I had to paint it with the WDT 3 stage paint to make it match the Burb.

I decided before I ever bought this from Lee that if I ever did the Esky 3rd, I was determined to do it differently from everyone else's. I know what your thinking, "having a full width modded Esky 3rd is already different" , and you are right... there are but a select few (in the overall grand scheme of things) that have it, BUT I wanted to be in the .0001% club.... lol

So I decided to integrate turn signals into it while still allowing for the brake function... kind of like the "line of fire" LED strips under the tailgate of a truck... certainly NOT an original idea, BUT definitely an innovative and original execution in my opinion.

Since that video I have actually replaced the top brake light bulbs with another set of the strobing bulbs I have in the "new" lower brake light so I guess I need to get another video.

Is there a separate wire for the turb signal?
I remember om my Escalade ESV 2008 that the turn and brake light was a single wire.

Yes... on the Tahoes and Suburbans the turn signals are separate... interestingly enough the Avalanche, which you would think would use the short body Tahoe harness, evidently uses the Silverado harness because the turns and brakes are integrated together... kinda like the Esky.

My truck now looks like the Avy/Silvy when braking (upper and lower bulbs light up as brake lights) but I still have a separate bulb for turns.

It is an Escalade 3rd brake light that I modified to light up full width and incorporated the turn signals in it as well.... only one on the planet like it..... to my knowledge.

The big Pete always got run through the Blue Beacon truck wash and gets wax and Rain-X takes about 30 mins for truck and trailer... with about 6 guys.

Remove the stock LEDs... Yes

Install a strip... No

You have to cut open the housing and drill out the existing locations that look like there should be LEDs in them and then install individual LEDs and resistors and wiring and such to make it all function.

If you went with a strip you would have to cut out the back of the housing that has all the holes for the individual LEDs I guess.

Yeah here in Nevada motorcycle awareness is a huge thing. It all goes back to these cell phones and driving, people not paying attention. Be safe out there all you two wheelers.

I finally ordered and got the helper bags installed in the rear of the Burb.

I also realized that the bracket on the axle for the panhard bar was hitting the crossmember above it when I would hit a dip in the road.

I knew something was hitting but assumed it was bottoming out the axle bumpstops on the frame.

So I trimmed the bracket

and notched the crossmember for clearance.

And installed the helper bags.

I ran the bags separately instead of using the T fitting and hid the Schrader valves next to the filler neck.

No more bumping and banging over dips.

Also changed the oil and drained the catch can...

Not to bad for a truck with 212k miles on it running a 10k mile service interval.

Those are super strong Neodymium magnets on the bottom of the filters, just in case there is ever any metal to collect. I really need to get a filter cutter so I can open them up after I remove them to see what they actually collect.

And before anyone has a heart attack about the 10k mile interval... I run Mobil 1 full synthetic 15k mile oil and have a dual remote mount oil filter setup and run 2 filters that are each about twice the size of the factory filter and an external oil cooler... so that is 10k miles on oil rated for 15k miles being cooled and filtered 4 times as much as the factory filter and with the added capacity it holds 8 quarts of oil so that means the same oil gets cycled through less frequently.

Replaced the front and rear temperature sensor aspirators in the Burb today.

Probably could have gotten away with just cleaning them but had already bought the new ones.

The old ones would make noise sometimes and the air conditioner would act funny sometimes as well.

When I pulled the grill off of the front one over the drivers seat the inside of the grill looked like a lint trap in a dryer... lol... Full of dust. I am not sure if the rear was the same or not because when it popped off it fell between the seats so it may have been the same way.

Hopefully this fixes the issues I have been having... if nothing else they will atleast not make noise anymore.
