On my 05 trailblazer, if there were any codes showing, the cruise control would not work, not sure if this holds true for you Avy.

I noticed the cruise was not working before the light and warning messages came on. Not sure if that matters or not.

I have read so many different things that people claim have fixed it. bad gas. Misfire. MAF sensor was loose. Low brake fluid. I am going to see if I can get my hands on a nice scanner tool. That will probably speed up the process a bit. Hopefully so anyways...
Exactly! It's been a huge pet peeve for me during my ownership of the '07 to the point I just ignore the message and pretend it's not there while I track down the root cause. Get a scanner tool on it and see what codes it might be throwing and go from there. Could literally be a million things that could cause those messages to pop up

I intend on letting it ride until I find time to fix it. If that is the only issue that I have, I think I am in pretty good shape! lol

Just got a call from the body shop...

Paint will be done tomorrow and ready to be picked up. I will be sure to snap a few pictures of the finished product. Well, almost finished. I still intend on replacing the hood later on down the road, but The one that is on it now will due for right now.

I drove the Avalanche to the body shop today to get the new parts painted. On the way, the "Traction Control Off" and "Service Stabilitrak" notifications come up. Also noticed that the cruise control was not working. Any ideas on what that could be?

Wheel/speed sensor maybe?

Did you run a scan and pull codes for these?

Not yet. I dropped it off at the body shot on Monday and the light came on while I was on my way there. Once I get it back, I will hook up a scanner to it and see what it says.

Thanks! Hopefully i will have the new title in by the end of next week. I won't hold my breath though. The state likes to take their time.....
Sounds like Alabama. They took 2 months just to tell me I couldn't get a title for my 91 Yukon

Just picked it up from the paint shop. They did a pretty jam up job. Even put the flare back on for me. All I need now is for the title to come in!

The Tundra pictured below is another truck that my friend bought and had repaired. He just picked his up from the paint shop yesterday.

Thanks man. Seems like it is taking longer for the title to come in than all the other repairs lol
Yeah, if GA is anything MO the DMV takes it sweet ol' time. A couple years back I had to get the state gov't involved because the stupid lady at the local DMV lost my title somehow. I ended up emailing some higher ups with the state just hoping one of them would listen because the DMV folks were jerking me around. Luckily, one of them did actually listen and lowered the boom and magically my title showed up within the next few days

I'm sure that won't happen to you. My point was I can sympathize with you and the waiting :happy175:

I hope that doesn't happen! lol

I can't imagine dealing with them about something like that.

i don't know if it's the uneven ground, but that Avi looks taller than my stock 12 4x4. I wonder if you got lift springs on it.

Awsome job. My father is very jealous. Ever since I got mine, he's been looking, but he's a cheap bastered. If he saw a deal like this, he'd be all over it.

I was actually talking with some people in here in some earlier posts about a leveling kit on it or something, but it does not seem to have a lift at all. It sits higher than the Tundra pictures above. Better ground clearance and slightly taller overall.

So what are some opinions on exhaust? I like a low rumble, but I do not want it to drone in the cab. It does not need to be super loud, but I like to hear it when I get on it. I was thinking about just installing a single in single out flowmaster to keep the stock look, but will it give me any decent sound?
