The only issue that I have found so far is the big LED 3rd brake light in my 13 AV. Looks like they had a bad batch and mine did leak. I have removed it twice to seal it, second time I had to repair one of the hold retainers for the bolts that secure it to the body.
Other that that I am getting use to 15.5 mpgs.

NICE job.

I drove the Avalanche to the body shop today to get the new parts painted. On the way, the "Traction Control Off" and "Service Stabilitrak" notifications come up. Also noticed that the cruise control was not working. Any ideas on what that could be?

Wheel/speed sensor maybe?

I just read online in a few places that this could be caused by some kind of misfire maybe?

That message can pop up for a million different issues that may or may not be related to each other at all. If your intake tube isn't tight on the throttle body it could pop on as well. So I'd start at the absolutely simplest thing you could think of and go from there.

^^^ Yes. Start with all the easy things. All of those systems are tied into each other and into other systems. Give each wheel speed sensor a good inspection, make sure all wire harness connections are clean and tight, etc. Retrace everywhere you've worked to see if you left, knocked or pulled something loose. A Tech2 or other well-optioned scan tool could probably pinpoint you to the cause.

Cruise control not working could very likely be a bad brake switch on the pedal.

I have read so many different things that people claim have fixed it. bad gas. Misfire. MAF sensor was loose. Low brake fluid. I am going to see if I can get my hands on a nice scanner tool. That will probably speed up the process a bit. Hopefully so anyways...

Start on the wrecked sidelooking for loose, frayed wires

The only wire that was cut/damaged from the wreck was the 2 wires that go down to the fog light.

Cruise control not working could very likely be a bad brake switch on the pedal.

I have heard that it could be the switch. This will probably be one of the first things that I try after making sure everything looks as it should under the hood.

Especially if they slammed the brakes on before they wrecked it.....;)

HA!

There is a ground on the frame rail behind the bumper too. Both sides of frame.
I never saw that, but I was not looking for it either. Once it comes back from the paint shop, I will check it out. It's not like it can't be driver like that...right?
