First off, 2015 ppv IO3.

Does anyone know why and or a fix to the following issue?

When I plug my iPhone in to the usb plug in the center console it sometimes connects to the radio and I can play music and at other times it does not, and only just starts charging. Any rhyme or reason for this?

There’s 4 wires 2 for data 2 for power. If you damaged 1 of the data wires the cable will still charge but no data. You can check the port on your phone to make sure it’s clean. I would also check to make sure the USB port is clean.

And, you could try the port hidden behind the screen.

Wires are all good and I cleaned the ports. Still the same ugh. What hidden port are you speaking of? I have the smaller screen which doesn’t raise FYI

Is there more than once device (phone, tablet, etc.) in or near the car when this happens? If Bluetooth has anything to do with it, only one device can be connected at a time to BT.

Did you test it by hooking it up to your computer and try syncing it or did you try a new cable?

Ppv do not have Bluetooth, that won’t be an issue. Which I think is absolutely nuts that a 2015 Tahoe doesn’t come standard with Bluetooth.

Yes and yes, this seems to be some kind of software issue I’m thinking
