The kit, shocks and the spohn stuff alone are like 2k. I was just looking at some videos to see how they installed the rear springs, and it's easier than I thought. IDK if I can go 4-6 and still make it up the dune to get onto the beach.

Tim's has a 2" rear kit, Tony has a 3-4" rear kit for less. Thinking I could do the 3-4 and decrank a little in the front.
If I ever want to go 2/3, 2/4, 3/4, it's only the front stuff I'd need.

Every 6 months or so I say I'm going to lower it for sure but it never materializes


Gotta go up to Robertson's and try to find some drug dealer's wrecked/shot up SUV and get the wheels. Maybe that would convince me to finally drop it. Last summer they had a set of black 24's with tires for 500 bucks but I never jumped on it.

Wonder If I could fit 33x12.5r24 comforsers under a 2/3?

They should fit. Don't forget to reverse the rear shock bolts when you install them so the heads are towards the tires or they'll rub on them.

Flashing CEL on the highway last night when I was moving, so that's fun. On constant today after more than a few key cycles.
Thinking random misfire, has happened before.Check, clear, wait, repeat.

If it is a constant skip, where should I start by looking?

Start by getting the codes. How are your cats as far as age?

They would be long, long dead if they were furry cats.

I think they're original. Most of the truck is original. Some of the body has been replaced (crap aftermarket hood, rear bumper, hitch) but most everything else rolled off Puritan Pontiac Buick GMC's lot back in 05.

Gotta wait till tomorrow night/Saturday to scan the codes, I'm at school and need to borrow the scanner at work.

It seems like my list of things to fix gets longer and longer, and I can never make headway on things I'd like to do. Such is life with 302k.

Apparently to read codes, the OBD2 port needs to work, what kinda tomfoolery is that?

Scanner’s fine, tried it on other trucks, but I plug it into my truck and... nothing.

Mechanic had to leave when I had an idea. Did a little googling, and...cigar lighter fuse is blown.
Search for a 15amp fuse, find it after like an hour of looking.

Then I grabbed the shops’s obd2 reader since them mechanic left and locked his in his toolbox.
Nothing. Apparently I grabbed the “broken reader” (no clue why it’s still around)

Reader number 3, and it’s P0449.

Which is weird because I had the vent replaced last year.

Looking at @NORCAL SS site, and the 00-920 kit says it works for both auto and non auto trucks.

I was always under the impression that the spring rates were different between the two because of the airbag on the rear shocks. Is it so minute that it doesn't matter?

I see some other kits are auto/non auto specific.

All I've read says that if you delete the auto leveling you need stiffer springs.
