Personally,.. I think I prefer old school looks with a lot of sidewall, the new look with tall rims and no rubber is just not appealing to me,... plus true off-roaders (not that I am, but like the look) would want plenty of sidewall for protection against rocks ect. Also im not a big fan of ALL black wheels,.. some black mixed with chrome/machined looks w/bead locks are ok. But anyways,.. love to see what you guys are running. The picture below is one set that Im seriously considering.

I went with the Flat Black Pro Comp 7032. I've always been a dark color preferenced person. Chrome and shiny doesn't fit my personality. Went with the OEM Size 17". Only issue I have with these wheels is the center cap only has 2 real screws and I have lost one. 6 "screws" and only 2 are real....dumb

Those look good JLaughtr,.. I think Black looks decent on darker colored vehicles.

So the wheel I posted in my 1st pic list a 0 offset and 4.75" of backspace,... anyone know if this will bring it flush to the outer fender flare,... or how far out past stock ?? TY

It will probably be close, depends on the wheel width and the tire width.

Here is a profile I setup for my Sierra a couple years back right after I put my new wheels on. I kept it simple and went 17x9 with 0 offset so I could use my old tires that were brand new, but then decided I needed something a little bigger and went up from the stock 265/70/17 tires to 285/70/17. They fit the wider rims a lot better. Stock wheels on my truck were 17x7.5 with -33 offset.

Tires/rims came today,.. I like them but Im getting prepared for some trimming,....With the 0 offset I was hoping for a bit more lip, but when you see the back of the wheel you'll see why the spokescooper 34.jpg
cooper 341.jpg
are so far forward, not sure why they do that.

Wow those look really good. I'm interested in seeing how flush they are with the body when you get those installed!

Well according to preliminary measurements, (me and a ruler), looks like theyre going to be at least flush. But I'll be sure and post up some pics once bolted on.

Those get great marks from guys that run them. Good pick. Now LIFT that girl!

I put the 2.5" keys in last night,... and the air-lift bags for the rear arrived in the mail today... with just the keys cranked to about 1/3 she's sitting between 38"-39" in all 4 corners as we speak.... the air bags will ad another inch or two to rear springs. I should have install pictures by the weekend....
This is a pic with just 2.5" keys in front.

Pictures as promised,...tires measure 34x12, 2.5" lift key in front, stock Z71 springs in rear,... had some minor trimming on drivers side front inner fender plastic, trimmed about an inch off the front where it meets the windshield washer reservoir, and a heat gun to the rear of the ds front inner plastic was all it took. These rims are 0 offset and I feel the tires could come out another inch or so. I may ad 1" spacers. All for corners are sitting at 39" fender height, im defiantly going up another inch in the rear..... air-lift bags not installed yet. So on previous trucks Ive always ran two air lines T'ed into one shrader valve, but doing some reading on the issue, it seems that load shift and air transfer is a very real thing, its a hard concept to fathom because you would think 30 psi is 30 psi no matter what,...opinions?

These were 20x10 with 0offset

The offset isn’t going to make it have a lip on the rim. The width of the rim matter. Can’t have a lip a on 8.5wide wheel... need at least a 10”wide wheel to get a 3”+lip.

Actually, if you go back and look at the first pic I posted, the wheels showed a decent lip, the spokes where basically centered in the wheel,...but when the wheel arrived the spokes were actually negative offset and the back where it mates to hub was built up about 3" (see photo of actual back side of wheel). So that was a bit deceiving for me, but the wheels were mail ordered so not much I can do know.

If the wheel is advertised as (0) offset, one would think that the spokes would be centered,...but instead they built up the back of the wheel about 3"

The first pic is a stock picture of like 10wide or 12wide wheel. U can’t go by a stock internet photo. I can tell by looking at the photo it’s not a 8.5”wide wheel. Yes Very deceiving if u don’t know wheel well. The custom offset videos on YouTube have a lot of good information about getting the right wheels for your truck
