Is it required to stay plugged in to run the current tune? My Diablo just flashes the ECM and then unplug and store in console.

With any gmt900 (our trucks) you need two tunes. 1 ecm and 1 tcm. But no they don't need to stay plugged in. You are reprogramming the ecm and tcm.

Here recently I've done oil change, replaced weatherstripping, blower motor and resistor for front fan and will be doing brake pads and hubs here soon.

The joys of being lowered.... Snapped passenger cv-axle and can't replace it until I get new upper control arms. Having 2" lowering spindles, it requires us 4wd to cut the upper ball-joint bolt flush with the nut making it impossible to ever take off and back on again....
