Loose steering is unfortunately pretty common in these trucks after racking up 100k + miles. Worse case scenario, it would need a steering sector, pitman arm, idler arm, all 4 tie rods. I would check the ball joints and control arm bushings as well.
If you have the tools needed for the job, its not difficult. I would recommend Moog parts, in my opinion they are the best.
Is it worth it? Well $2500 is a damn good price as long as the rest of the truck is in decent shape. Check around for prices to get an idea of what everything would cost if it is that "worse case scenario" .

The only other bad part about the truck is the interior and no a/c and drivers window won't go down

Sounds about right for a $2500 truck! Lol! Alot of good interior parts can be found at salvage yards. The a/c probably needs a compressor or possibly just a leak. Switch or motor for the window. If this is going to be a project truck and you can take your time with it, it doesn't sound any worse than the issues mine had when i bought it! And i paid damn near twice as much!

Here in Colorado if the 4 wheel drive works good, low miles, no rust , no accidents that price will be about right.

Not a deal breaker, then. Any idea if the engine or transmission have been rebuilt?

The A/C could be your larger expense. Did they still use R12 in 94 or has it been converted?

Even if you had to replace the steering gear, you could probably do the whole front end for no more than $500 in parts.

Edit: Is it a Chevrolet Blazer? The GMC grill looks like a 90-93, they switched them for 94 to a body colored surround. With that and the hood, wonder if it was wrecked?

Sounds about right. Looks like a good deal to me. If you have engine problems you can ls3 swap it or keep it stock but the ls swap is worth the money. Will pay for itself in gas savings in a year. Nice truck I would buy it. The steering is a easy thing to fix the window is easy even If you have to buy parts new it won't cost you alot to get fixed

I had a 94 Silverado... I miss that truck... anyway I spent countless $$$$$ trying to get the A/C right. I ended up changing the low/high pressure switch out as a last effort and it worked like a champ. 3-5$ part at Napa/AZ/O'Reilys.

thing is the steering is really loose. That could be an expensive repair and that could put you over market value. JMHO and good luck.

Texes?
Then it should be rust free that alone is worth it..
I have two 97 sC1500 one with 250k and another with 295k
One is rusted out but rebuilt motor and trans and the 295k still all OE not touched some rust but not bad.. would give that just for a rust free body.

Doesn't look bad, and it's not a terrible price. First rule of buying any vehicle, new OR used, talk them down, they will always take less. Sounds like you could fix the issues the truck has, and make a pretty truck out of it. Go for it!
