I appreciate it bubba! I forgot to mention I also have 2in RC spacers. I stripped all the z71 flares plastics roof rack and nerf bars as soon as I got it. Just looks more clean imo. I want to hide the frame a bit with some new nerf bars but I can't find any I care for.

I want to say I sit about 1.8-2k runnin 70 down the highway.

I'll bet you had a metric ton of plastics to pull off that Z71 lol..

That's an excellent RPM, I imagine you get 15+MPG

All the auto houses are renting this same kit for 150$ so I said hell no.. I have the cash but damn, I have a day or 2 to finish the back anyhow so I got my own China set on the way

Got the torsion keys loaded and the self tapping bolts torqued up on the outside of the brackets..

Hell yeah man! Lookin real good so far! I love my hoe but I gotta admit the front ends of the GMC's look nice.

That bracket for dropping the crossmember is pretty beefy! I was wondering why you had to drill holes for it and damn now I know.

That's ridiculous about the kit for the ball joints. I don't even mess with pressing them in and out. I just replace the whole control arm for the same price and less of a headache.

I appreciate it my man, I can understand why it costs more than the lift to have a mechanic put the lift on! It's pretty straight forward though, I didn't expect it to be much of a cake walk :chewie:.

Those brackets are monsters, I am a little uncomfortable with the low torque for the self tapping bolts but I'll just keep an eye but on em.

I had no clue the entire upper arm was that cheap! Oh well, I paid 30 bucks for all 4 joints so putting em in and out with that bad boy should be a breeze

I'd check them after a few hundred miles but I wouldn't really worry about them. If that's they're torqued to spec. they'll be fine. Anything more may start to stretch or strip them.

I torqued mine to spec checked everything after 500 miles and not a bolt was loose. I've never had a problem with any part of my lift. I've bent and broke other things before my lift was harmed. The two things I've done to this was snap the pan hard rail mount off the rear axle had to weld it back and bent my drivers side jounce bumper mount.

We play a lil rough :893karatesmiley-thu

(I'm sure a few of the lowered guys would lose there shit over this lol a lot of the guys have been taking about the jounce bumpers lately)

I see you guys don't play lightly, that axle must have been in a sketchy position for those kind of forces to tear the mount off..

Maybe you can explain the sciences on how this makes for a better ride?

Here we go..

Hanging free

20170326_204314_Film2_zpshfhwnr4j.jpg

All buttoned up.. The shocks slink in and out like an accordion so I'll be springing for a set soon.. Explains the horribly aggravating bobble my old lady hates so much

Anyone else weird and paint everything torqued like me?

Well I consider myself an expert with a tool bag but it's safe to say these extra nuts bolts and washers go nowhere!! ( Checked everything over 4 times and marked out everything torqued with a paint marker..

Looks good with those wheels on it! I didn't even put the rear bump stops on my kit don't plan on wheeling it that hard. I would order some 5160 full length shocks for front and rear once you recoup some funds.

Yeah, It's time to sit back and think on the small stuff now.. I may match the front shocks with 2 more and build a tube mount and put them on the upper control arms.. Thanks Bro, been some good motivation here

Dialed in the alignment, trimmed the bumper a notch and this truck rides PHENOMENAL with those 4:56's

20170328_205010_Film2_zpsujyc1bok.jpg

(Gotta get a rubber wheel to get the tape off the quarter)

20170328_205037_Film2_zpshey1wvpe.jpg

NAILED IT! How's that clearance up front? And how are them RPM's roaring down the highway with the 4:56's?

I wasn't ready to drive it today but at about 10 last night I realized the zone gave me the wrong brakes for my wife's suburban. Couldn't put it back together because the rotors look like they are being drug down the highway.

I am NOT used to this kind of attention so now I'm paranoid about my flakey paint:manos:

Here's the RPM range at a GPS 70mph reading

RPMs look great at cruise and the lift looks killer on it. Well done! Now just to clean up the body a little and its done. Headlight update and finish cleaning molding removal along with pin stripe.
