Had a pretty crappy week. On Tuesday, a bad windstorm blasted the drivers side of my Suburban. Picked up thousands of rocks, pebbles, and grains of sand and slammed them into my truck.

It ended up breaking 2 windows, badly chipped the other, chipped the inside of the passenger side windows, and chipped the rims. But what bothers me the most is that it pretty much ruined the paint. There are hundreds of chips that went straight through the paint to the metal. and probably thousands of lighter chips that may or may not have gone through the clearcoat.

Hope it won't be a fight with insurance to get the paint covered.

I have been thinking about letting a shop in the Orlando area put a Diesel LMM motor in my 07 Tahoe. Using EFI Live and make a nice tune it would be a blast to drive, just unsure about the cost.

I can assure you it'll be $$$$. There is a conversion company out there that does that exact thing but I can't remember the name.

did they used to make noise over speed bumps?
hmm my yuk front suspension sounds like plastic bottles crunching when I go over speed bumps. but it feels solid taking turns at high speed, breaking etc.

The name of the shop is Duraburb, Inc and the owner is Eric Swanson aka TDI Guy. If I can find my own donor setup it would be way cheaper. Just imagine a LMM Duramax and Allison tranny in a Tahoe pushing 400 hp and nearly 750 lbs of torque. I would rather do this in a 2500 Suburban so I could to anything I want but doing the Tahoe would be cool. I have talked to him before and he never gave me a dollar amount but it would easily be 10k.

Is your Tahoe 2WD? If so it will probably just require a swap to a 14 bolt axle after the Duramax and Allison are put in, if it's 4x4 it will probably need the 2500's t-case and front diff to handle the extra torque.

I like Duraburb, I enjoy watching their YouTube videos, seems like a great shop. My dream truck is a 2500 Suburban with a LML. If I win the lottery, Duraburb will be getting my business.

I spilled a little bit of bleach on the front passenger side carpet. I tried damn there everything to restore it but nothing worked.

Try SEM Color Coat? It's an interior dye in spray form and not just a regular spray paint. You spray it into the carpet and work it in with a toothbrush to coat all the fibers.

Will try it this weekend?
