I'm so wnvious of your 80 degree perfect washing weather right now!! Lol. I get that same feeling seeing my rig all shiny after a bath. Its sitting filthy down at the Trans shop and I can't clean it!! Err! But your rig looks awesome!

I finally uploaded a cold start video and some revs of my truck.

It's a Flowmaster 50 series muffler (the 2nd thing that I ever did to the bone stock Tahoe) with a K&N CAI.

I've been debating a muffler change after watching the Black Widow thread and some other cool exhaust mods going on lately, but I'm not totally unhappy with the sound. She growls pretty good around town and makes a presence at WOT.

Unsure at the moment. I may just do that dual Corsa style tip tucked in tight and leave it be. Here's the clip.

Yessir. It is pretty damn nice. May give her and the NNBS another wash on Sunday as it is supposed to 80-85 all week.

Hope that transmission gets sorted out soon for you.

Thx sir. That is nice to hear since 99% of all sound clips are 5.3 or 6.0. And we know that my motor will never have the same sound even with the same muffler or exhaust as those bigger motors.

But that's okay as she still does what she needs to, just with a little less.

I had the same 4.8, I'd get maybe 10-12 in the city.

I believe his is 2wd, i was wondering if that and the tune and cai made any difference, especially in the highway mpg.

You guys are on the money.

Yes 4.8L, 2WD, muffler, CAI and BB tune.

I do enjoy a bit of spirited driving shall we say. Thanks to the Black Bear tune and a bit of noise. Lol

Mostly city driving in stop and go traffic. Averages out to about 10mpg. I've only seen 15mpg, maybe it was 18mpg? But that was so long ago coming back on the turnpike from Orlando after my BB tune when I had the cruise control set at 70mph for 3 hours.

I have never seen 12mpg in the city unfortunately.

Well that doesn't make me feel too bad about my 12 combined in my 4wd 5.3

Even my NNBS Suburban 5.3L with the Range AFM Device is less than 12mpg and my wife drives way more conservatively than I do.

Price of having the V8.

I was worried that the klunk that my Yukon XL made going into gear wasn't normal, until I heard yours...

That sounds good, I was about to order the flowmaster muffler as well but like you, I'm liking that Corsa exhaust

That was just closing the door, foot on the brake and shifting into gear to move forward.

And I listen all the time without the radio on for anything weird sounds too.

Hope that makes you feel a bit better, unless we both have an issue that we are missing? Lol

Thx sir. Had that Flowmaster 50 muffler on for about 3 years now. Yep nobody complains about the Corsa Sport, but it is pricey.

Maybe I would have gotten it or something else, but at the time I was still just lurking on this forum and hadn't really anticipated getting so in depth with the mods. But we all know how that goes...

Changed out the Vapor Canister Purge Valve this morning to hopefully clear the following codes noted below.

I had the codes cleared 2 weeks ago with my mechanic, but the CEL came back on, so fingers crossed that is all it is.
