Ugh, noticed my first dash crack today. It's behind the gauge cluster and about 2" long. So what did I do? I bought a windshield sun shade thingy. Should have done that awhile ago.

I used clear gorilla super glue let it dry and hit it with a brown sharpie. It's been good for 2+ years.

No problem. It sucks that GM couldn't make a quality dash. It either cracks in that spot or right next to the air bag on the top left corner. Luckily it has not cracked for me yet.

I also use a towel to put over the dash if I don't feel like using the sun shade.

I have 3 or 4 cracks in my dash....i gave up and said eff it. Dont care anymore

Mine is by the airbag. Only noticed because of the complaints I seen here.

As long as the crack doesn't make noise, I'm not terribly concerned with it. I've already tracked down too many rattles and squeaks in only 10k miles of ownership... centerpoint speaker, tow/haul button, door lock plastic, and interior steering column to name a few... come on GM, not even my 15 year old Dakota rattles like this.

Figured out the top speed is around 125ish playing around today. It's sketchy bringing this behemoth to a stop from that speed. I'm glad I figured that out 1st hand while messing around. Felt pretty stable. Better than I imagined. 1st and hopefully my last time.

I used that gorilla superglue. Pry up the rear dash panel put a little in between both covers and wedge something in between windshield to hold it down with some pressure until it dries (I used a towel) no more rattle or moving.

45 minutes of work for driver and passenger sides. For some reason the driver side was much more difficult, but no big deal. Applied Collinite 845 after several passes with Meguiars compound.
Clean.

How did you fix the center front speaker rattle? Mine i can watch the dash piece move right in the middle in front of that speaker.

With mine it wasn't the dash piece that was rattling, mine was coming from underneath the speaker grille. I popped off the grille and found out that one of the bolts holding the speaker to the dash was finger tight. Fortunately that one was an easy fix.

Finally drove mine out of the shop to go to my neighbor's house so he could rev it for me and I now would like to modify my previous assessment of deleting the resonator. I actually CAN hear a noticeable difference from the driver's seat when idling. The smooth rumble at idle is slightly more pronounced. It sounds like a dull grumble that I can tell is coming from the rear. It's not offensive in the least. But I can hear what GM engineers added the resonator for. I haven't had it on the highway yet so I can't comment on drone, but I doubt there will be any. From outside and my neighbor stabbing the throttle, it sounds like I have a mild performance muffler. It even sounds good when the RPMs fall back down under closed throttle with a few mellow pops. My best description is that it has the sounds and exhaust note one would want from a performance muffler, just with the volume turned way down. Since it was out of the shop, I was able to step away and get a better pic in the daylight:
