Both are plug and play, however have you considered the Escalade(or replica) tail lights? Personally my first choice would be the Esky's, second would be Denali.
G5's much better way, they are plug and play, and look exactly like the esky tails and they are bright at night!.. i love mine.
...But you need (yes, I think you NEED) matching Esky appliqués if you go the G5 route. (Otherwise, the G4s are the next best thing, but not nearly as nice as the G5s.)
you do not "NEED" the appliques, they are purely for look only, the appliques have nothing to do with the functionality or fit of the tail lights, the difference is the tahoe/suburban oem tails are rounded and the stock appliques are rounded also, the G5 and Stock Esky tail lights come to a point, they just dont look the same, if you want the esky appliques then you have a nice clean finish, otherwise you have the rounded stock applique and the pointed tail light.
I was going to leave mine with the stock appliques till i came across a cheap set off an esky on ebay and spent the money, again they are not required for fit or functionality, just look nicer
There should be some pics up somewhere showing this on the forums..
