Hey guys, I wanted to show off my newly modified grill. What do you think?

Definitely interesting.

My concern is that the chrome crosses at different levels on the sides. Just looks odd. I'd suggest doing a black gloss on the chrome that splits the lights and surrounds the lower lights.

While your at it, gloss black the lower valance. Doing mine this weekend :D

I think it would look better if you color matched it to your vehicle. A little to much chrome for my liking.

Hey, Thanks for the feedback. I agree with each of you!! haha. Some angles I love it others I think it looks a bit "off". I also dislike all the chrome. I have thought about either color matching all the chrome or doing something like Grimes suggested.

Problem is, I am not a fan of the stock Yukon grill. I would have bought a Tahoe but just came across this one for the right price. I do like the the 03+ Sierra grill though.

:hmm: definitely different which I like. Maybe some tweaks to it and you could fully pull it off :) I like the thinking outside if the box

I do like that colormatched shop better. Doesn't look half bad :)

Do the first one, the one you said was my suggestion, but black out the bow tie as well. It'll look much better than the edited pic, which already looks better. Hell, plastidip it first and stand back a bit, see what you think. Then decide how you want to dedicate your time and money.

You know you can put a 03+ Sierra grill on with no modifications... That being said I like your thinking differently

Do you have the chrome moldings on the side and the chrome rear bumper?

My deal on chrome with these trucks is you gotta balance it. Have it lined up or don't have it. That being said, I wouldn't black out the big chrome bumper in the front if you don't plan to do the rear.

Yeah of the three options I like 1 and 3 best.

Grimes- yeah I do currently have the chrome on the side and rear bumper and if I were to go with opt 3 I would color match those as well. In fact I would like to color match the chrome on the side either way.

YukonXL04- Yes, I know the 03+ Sierra grill will fit with no modifications. This was more of an experiment to see if I liked it. The cross bar is actually off of a trailblazer grill I had laying around. I really don't have much money to "play" with so this worked out.

Okay cool. Just making sure. I read that you liked it so I figured I would let you know.

I will be doing a 03+ sierra whole front end some day lol
