Yellow HID Fogs?

Does anybody have yellow (3000K ish) fog lights? and if so, do they work better in heavy fog than white or blue? I've heard that some research says yes and others say no. What do you guys think?

Rain and fog wash out the blue in the HIDS. Yellow HIDS would work well but there's just something about that color that rubs me the wrong way.

I have 6000K lows and 3000K fogs.... I cannot yet attest to the effectiveness of the 3000K fogs in poor visibility conditions... However, I can speak for the poor visibility with the 6000K lows during heavy snow. They're so damn bright and the light was reflected really bad.

I personally like the look of the 6000K/3000K combination...

Anything with blue in it sucks in weather, period. Rain, snow, fog...it just eats the light. White or yellow will be better. Some people swear by yellow, but I've had both and honestly didn't see a huge difference in fog.

2ELO, I think that looks sick, although I wouldn't have gone higher then 5000k. Even then, there's still a slight blue to it and it gets washed out, which is why I now have 4300K lows. Not as "blingy" but more functional.

I run the same set-up as 2ELO...I have used them in the fog and they do make a difference...I think alot has to do with their location. I have also run in the snow and turned off my lows and just ran the fogs...alot less stressful on the eyes.

I dont know if this helps.. but i have 3000k in my highs on my bike.. and on early morning rides it cuts fog like a laser.. running into a fog bank before was like hitting a wall.. adding these helped alot.

I am playing with the idea of adding 3k's to my highs...just need to rewire so I can cut the lows if I wanted.

thanks for the input, I ordered them and some 8000K for the reverse lights. I'm still not sure how i feel about the look of them, but the function sounds like its worth it.

I did the reverse HID and Fog mods this weekend. They both look great, I did the 3000K fogs. I never thought something would make my 55w headlights seem dim......what a difference. I just have to wait for some adverse weather conditions to really test them out. Thanks for the advice guys.

^ Yeah as you go down in K-value the usable projected light gets brighter.

Can you post a picture of the HID reverse light pattern on the ground? I am curious to see the improvement. Thanks!

I need to get a bunch of pics, I just havent yet. My first impression of ground pattern is that I'd like to adjust them down. Most of the light goes streight out. It also lights up the bumper and starts to blind the camera. My only complaint is that I can't adjust them down.
