ouch, I see they are no longer listed anywhere in stock. I'm not sure what you should do.

maybe call millings tech line, I don't believe a standard LS oil pump can provide the oil pressure the hybrid is looking for. if it's to low it's going to throw fault codes all the time. the min spec for oil pressure for a hybrid in the manual is...

oil pressure spec hot
36psi @1000
42psi @2000
45psi @4000
afm relief valve 55-75 max.
p0521 ecm detecta different oil pressure than expected by lower 6.8psi or greater than 7.3 psi for 10sec

but lets back up a min, more details? LS oil pumps in general don't fail often in daily drivers. what it doing, what happened when you lost oil pressure? the oil pressure sensor is the most common problem,(like over and over again, bad oem sensors out of the box common) back of the intake about 50$ or so part. next is the o ring at the oil pump. the test is to either park facing down a steep hill, or add a qt or 2 more oil(just don't drive around long with the extra oil). that will bring the oil level above the o ring level and tell you if it's sucking air because of a faulty o ring. next is cam bearings, they just cause lost pressure mostly, especially idle but usually bearly worth the hassle to fix, since they can run for years with as little as 10psi at idle.

so what happened and what's going on?

Welcome to the Forum from NH.

I hope that you will become a participating member in the Forum's discussions.

Pics of the truck, please. If we can't see it, it does not exist.

You are already receiving sage advice from the knowledgeable folks on this Forum.

As stated above, before replacing the oil pump, check the the oil pressure sensor (temporarily install a mechanical pressure gauge from Harbor Freight and confirm what your current oil pressure really is), test for a bad O-ring on the oil pickup tube (using the test procedure listed above), and check the oil pressure relief valve failure for reduced relief pressure in the oil pan. I'll bet that your issue is being caused by one of these 3 items, and not the oil pump itself.

if you've seen inside a normal gear pump, this is a totally different vain style. that spring in the pic is what sets the oil pressure by changes the displament of the pump.

the next Gen up trucks with the LT engine arw veritable displacement pumps but are contorted by the ecm to target whatever oil. pressure they want. these older ones being mechanial idle at max displament, but since it's a hybrid and shouldn't be idling very much, the extra power used at idle is offset by less power used at higher rpm compared to a gear pump with the small bypass ports.
