Great stuff! No idea where that was shot, but it looks like almost my backyard with less than 1/4 of the snow.

Watch carefully the rear wheel suspension travel. What an incredible demonstration of the IRS. I realize that the air is set to maximum height - but it just blows away my 1999 PPV that seemed to have almost no articulation by comparison.

Also good shot of one of the LPO wheels. Much more attractive to my eye than the RPO High Country wheel.

JMHO but this video doesn’t really show or prove much. Any reasonable AWD CUV would negotiate that course in basically the same fashion.
Let see it try to extricate itself from a ditch or snowbank and report back....

If you’re a good driver you should avoid ditches and snow banks. That being said there are some videos out there of the 21 Tahoe overcoming steep hills.
I didn’t post the video to prove anything. I posted it for entertainment.

So coming from a '16 Silverado 2500HD High Country the Tahoe ride was a bit different. I find myself driving a bit more careful LOL. I used the Auto setting on snow and slush and handling certainly improved from 2WD. I placed the truck in 4WD to play around and felt even more confident in the handling.

The power running boards however froze in place. (At least the drivers side did) Once it broke free on it's own, I shut the drivers door and it must have had a piece of ice blocking it. It opened and closed numerous times, finally settling about half closed. Once I was able to get the ice out, it returned to normal function.

I had 21 Suburban LT Sign. down at Mt Bachelor, in late February. The drive down was through a heavy snowstorm in the Pac NW, and lots of snow daily in Sunriver, OR. I have to say it handled the best on snow of any vehicle I have driven. The tires (continental, rated M+S) were very good I thought. I ran it in 4WD when there was snow on the pavement.

Looks like Toyo makes a winter tire for the 22" wheels (275/50r22), the Toyo Observe G3-Ice

How are they doing so far? I'm debating about swapping my All-season Continentals for the AT4 GY Trail Runners. How is the sound on dry payment and performance in winter so far?

Had two sets of the At3 4s ‘s on my ‘16 Suburban. Really great in snow and good overall performers. Will put them on my At4 when the stock Goodyears wear.

Does anybody else with factory Cross Contacts hate them? They are smooth and quiet but also scary in the rain. Our yukon is all over the road when it hits even the slightest puddle of water. I live in the PNW and it rains a lot so even though they only have 6k miles on them they are being replaced next monday

Are you driving in AUTO mode. I had the same issue (in heavy rain) when I hit puddles in auto Mode (down right dangerous). It was as if any hydroplaning confused the auto system, went to 2WD and problem solved. Powered right through the puddles, since then only use 2WD in the rain.

Got 60k out of the Wrangler SRA's that came stock on the Suburban, then 55k out of the first set of Cooper AT3 4s, and have 15k on the second set. Mostly highway miles but often loaded up with the family, gear and a utility trailer. They get a little louder as they wear but nothing like the BFG TKO2 or Wrangler Duratracs we have on our other trucks.

I actually swapped out my SLT for the AT4, so now have the stock GY Trail runners.. They are cheap tires, but I don't have any complaints yet. I have 8k miles on them and they are quieter than I expected. No off road or snow use yet. Not sure I would get them again or upgrade; too early.

She's in 2wd so I'm not sure what the deal is but hoping the new tires make a difference. We ran 33" duratracs on our '11 suburban for years and it ripped through puddles no problem at all. I'm assuming the ridge grapplers will do the same

Ridge Grapplers are on and perform very well in the snow. Have now encountered fluffy snow, snow drifts, compact ice and lots of slush and they handled them all like a champ with the Yukon in AUTO setting. Also just before Christmas drove through some pretty heavy rains on the highway (70-80 mph) and they cut through the water like a boss. Night and day difference over the cross contacts that were on there.

A good highway all season should be superior to AT and MT tires in the snow and rain.
