Hi,

Posting this question here since I am not sure where to ask it. But since this subforum is about lifted and 4x4 models, I assume someone here is using CB or GMRS radios (Midland calls them MicroMobiles).

Anyway, I have this model.

I have not quite figured out yet where to mount the radio inside the cab where it will be close to the driver's area.

Anyone mount something similar in their rigs? If so, where did you decide to mount it?

Several of my friends have that radio. Most mount the chassis under a seat or inside the console. Be sure it has airflow. For the mic, standard Cat5/RJ45 connectors can be used to extend it. Be sure the cables and couplers are not "crossover" types.

My ham radios have remote faceplates. I use the extension cables for both the faceplate and microphones. The chassis is in the console.
