not sure i definetly want to get all new gaskets, new oil pump, and maybe a cam, heads, and headers then get a nice exhaust thrown on it.

butttt it all depends on how much money i got at the time, i may just rebuild it stock and get an exhaust, i just want the engine as fresh as the rest of the truck, no sense in having all this new shit with an old motor

Get yourself a 383 stroker kit!!! :head3:
Its worth the money, engine will be almost new(you gotta keep your original miles though lol) plus you get the added hp and torque. That is assuming you have the money at the time of the build. IMO

NAPA for rebuild gasket kit

to do a 383, new cam, crank, springs for heads, pushrods, etc,etc...

you could drop some cash going to 383.

I wasn't sure how much money you were willing to drop on a "rebuild" but that 383 stroker kit i saw online was $1800-$1900. you end up with about 395 HP and 410 lbs of torque. Could be off by a lil though. That would be your best investment on your hoe.
