Looking to see if anyone may have an answer to this question. I have a 2005 Chevy Tahoe with stock 16’s and 265/70R16 tires. I also have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 18’s running 275/65R18 tires and I wanted to know if I could swap these into my 2005 Tahoe? I can swap rubber if need be but primarily interested in if the 18’s would fit the Tahoe.

If they're the 18x8.5" wheels then, yes. I run 2015 Silverado wheels on my '04, with 265/65-18s, with no rubbing on a stock suspension.

The 8.5" wheels have a slightly different offset than the 16" OE wheels, and that compensates for the wider profile.

Keep in mind your speedometer is going to be off:

Keep in mind this is going to throw your speedometer off, and potentially your acceleration as well.

Which is why I run the 265 width tire; its reduces the error slightly. Mine went from reading about 1.5mph high at 60mph to around 1mph low. So when my speedo reads 60 I know I'm in the 61+ mph range. You can verify with a good GPS unit.
