Right now, she is leveled (cranked keys) on 20" Denali wheels from scottg918514. Thanks again.

I was planning on plastidipping these in black but there is a readily available graphite color now. This would be similar (I think) to the paint that is on them now from their previous owner. It is starting to wear though. I have blank center caps that will get colored when I figure out what to do.

Next, I'm thinking of lowering. I haven't had a lowered vehicle before. I want to replace the rear springs and crank the keys back down to level it that way. After that, S10 body mounts to give it another inch. I like how this cleans up the bumper gaps.

I have 130k miles and not sure when the shocks were last changed. The ride was better before the cranked keys so I'm looking to get that back and some performance instead of being a lumbering giant. I had a Super Duty before this.

I need new shocks anyway so could I get drop shocks instead of using the shock extenders?

Maybe McGaughy's spindles later.

What do you guys think?

This is the day I put the wheels on but before the front was adjusted.

It's a 4X4 that's sacrilegious IMO if it were a AWD I would say drop it but hey man it's your rig. I like all the other stuff you have listed and I am not against dropping / lowering a rig don't get me wrong.

what roof rack is that?

Z71 with reverse lights added. There's good write ups available.

I knew some people were going to say don't lower a 4x4 but a rwd is just not practical in Michigan. I leave mine in 2 most of the time for fun but I would have been snowed in last week if I didn't have 4wd.

I'm not looking to lay frame or anything. Just a little better handling. 2/3 would be lowest I'm thinking.

Does anyone have ideas to finish it off? Ive been looking for an HD hood.

It would be nice to find a kit that levels by lowering the rear for the Z71s. I'd also like to de-mold, and de-badge mine, but I'm not sure how to deal with all the extra plastic cladding of the Z71. Also I think you would have to change the front bumper, or at least the plastic part of it since it lines up with the flairs at the front wheels. I think it would look a little goofy if the flair wasn't there, and you left the Z71 bumper. I guess you could paint all the Z71 plastic to match your body color. That would probably look pretty cool...

If it was mine, I would leave it like it is and paint the wheels with gloss paint (Charcoal or black). I would also throw some nice AT tires on it.

Where in Michigan are you from?

I'm near Jackson. Michigan only requires rear plates so thats on the back with the expired Colorado on the front. I hate the front plate squares so I put that on there.

There was a rare bumper or valance that I saw some pictures of but I can't remember what company made it. Piaa?

I have HIDs in my fogs so I would like to keep those if I did.

Or are you talking rear?

I myself have a 4wd, I don't do any off Roading anymore, getting to old and don't like to fix shit, lol. I use mine for snow only and times I'm glad I have it. I made it through 18" of snow last year with the same setup as in the picture.
