What is this door in the left rear inside?

Recently on of the 2 knobs holding this panel door on broke and it kept flopping open so I took it off until I can fix it. Don’t even know what is supposed to be stored in there.

Any insight as to why it is there and any parts to fix it?

I use it to store (1) my tow strap and (2) my speaker extension wire for my sub (in the event that I need to move the sub to a different location in the truck). When I bought the truck (new to me), the locking tabs were broken, and I replaced them with new ones.

Is there anything special about that hybrid tire inflator over any other portable air compressor, besides the GM logo? Just seems kind of pricey for what it is.

I keep a couple bungee cords and a small bottle jack in there. If I could get my shrink ray working, it would be the place to keep my floor jack! Damn science and math skiillz fail me again!!!

I keep the 300w Pure Sine Wave inverter in there that the kids use on trips to power their game consoles (XboxX, PS4, etc)

I tried to put a set of jumper cables in there, but only thinner, shorter cable sets will fit, like 12' 8 gauge and not the bigger 20' 2 gauge set I have.
