What is the best extended warranty...

So I recently purchased a 2007 Yukon SLT 4x4 and I am looking to get an extended warranty. I have seen and heard horror stories about companies that take your payments but never pay out for service. Who have you guys dealt with and what is your experience. I am looking for a reputable company that will provide hassle free service.

The best one is the one you never use. Seriously, do a Google search. Most are in it to take your money, not fix your truck and you seem to already know this. The GM warranty is so spendy, personally, I'd take the 1-2K+ and put it in the bank or invest it and pay for a repair out of pocket (they aren't "painless" either). You'll probably be money ahead in the long run. No warranty company is hassle free except the "pay for it yourself" one in my experience. Just my .02.

I have the Repair Advantage - Max. They offer like 4-5 different options and I got their flagship plan that is bumper to bumper and lasts an extra 32k miles. I forgot how much I paid but it wasn't cheap but the kicker is they do all repairs at GM dealerships instead of just a normal body shop. Sure enough a few months ago my AC compressor went out (along a laundry list of smaller things) and the bill was $2300 at my local Chevy dealership. I ended up paying a $100 deductible and sure enough they paid the rest. I'm pretty sure that one repair just covered the whole cost of the warranty. I'm covered bumper to bumper up until 82k miles and honestly when I get to that mileage I might have to trade it in for something else as I don't feel like paying thousands of dollars on future repairs.

Mercury is a good aftermarket one. Just make sure to get the Platinum level. It is usually cheapest to buy when the vehicle is brand new.

I was offered 36K of bumper to bumper with $250 deductible. I cannot recall the brand. This was on a 2008 Yukon Denali w/36k miles.

You can purchase GMPP cheapest online by doing a Google search. There are GM dealers who make it their business to sell in bulk and give good rates.

He can't. He has an 07 and that's out of the 3yr/36k warranty period, therefore he can't get a GMPP, unfortunately.

Aaaaahh, I thought the dealer had told Me that I could extend the
GMPP warranty. They must have meant I could purchase it later within the 3 year period. Good to know! Sorry Zacsteady I mis-spoke!

I have a fidelity Platinum warranty on my 7 'hoe. Shopped around and found the best price at Vader in GA. They offer GMPP, but I was also past the mileage requirement.

Best warrenty by far is to take abchubk of cash out of the check each time you get a check and put the money under the bed. Better idea because you dont get ****** and theres no o we dont cover that busll shit

X2. Unless you abuse the held out of your vehicle, what you put down in service contracts would be equal or less then cost of repairs over same period especially if you do them yourself.
