not much. thought I would use some steel brushes and hand soap. Then I heard butter will keep it looking nice as a wax. So going to try that today. :)

Comet. And yes, it did happen. A neighbor thought she'd do her husband a favor and wash his car when he was away on a trip. With one of her sons in tow, they washed their 65 Rambler with Comet and sponges in the driveway.

The car _was_ clean, but no longer shined. Luckily, he had driven the Mercedes to the base, so it was out of reach. :jawdrop:

She was banned from ever washing a car again. Hmmm, maybe that was the plan.

Well I just had to do a one step polish on the hood. While detailing yesterday I parked under a tree for some shade and also so the car wouldn't get to wet as it was raining on and off yesterday morn. When I got home later in the day I noticed the hood had some dried oily looking water spots. I rubbed with my finger just to see if it smeared and wouldn't.. So I washed the truck and noticed it wasn't beeding as good as it has basically just on the one side that the tree was covering. Then dried and noticed etched water spots. Weird as Cquartz protects a lot of that. So Iam think they sprayed the trees with some type of chemicals recently and this was the first rain we have had in prob 3 weeks. So had to do a one step and recoat the Cquartz.

finally got around to getting tires so my wheels are finally on.
went with the nitto terra grappler g2's, but exchanging them for the BFG KO2's.
either way, i'm really digging how they came out.

Pulled and wired up the carputer and ran all the wires for the wideband.

2 things suck. The short amount of time to work after the kids go to bed and not having a female-female HDMI connector or a longer male miniHDMI to female HDMI. Non-standard cables ftl.

Have some shop time W/TH so hopefully then I'll actually get something done.

Well I didn't really read what's in it lmao. I've just seen it used in person before and the results were awesome. If I wasn't so poor I'd spring for better products lol but.... This will have to do for now. Hoping to throw a coat of wax over it soon as I read a few tips on the detailing section from @GalaxyBlackEsky that it helps make the paint looks more wet

:roflbow: So it's flammable obviously so is it good for your paint's finish long term?

:hands: it's most likely good stuff. I'm the last person who should be questioning what you use to detail cars LOL
