I finally got around to repairing the exterior front door handle. I replaced it with another Dorman part purchased on Amazon. I managed to take the door panel off and put it back on without breaking any clips, so I consider it to be a success.
I used the 1AAuto video on YouTube at
for reference.

Replace old steering wheel emblem with new one. Black on old one started to peel so I scraped it all off and it drove me nuts.

I need a new one for my Silverado. Where'd you get it?

Had to order a cover for my light bar behind my grille. Highway patrol must of been having a bad day and gave me a ticket

Only place I could find one. There are several videos as well on YouTube on how to remove airbag to get to the emblem. 15 min tops.

I found the bowtie one on Amazon for $15. It says it pops on, no need to remove the airbag. Just pry the old one off, then bend the tabs just right and it snaps on. I watched them disassembling the airbag and I'd rather not.

But it was so much fun....

Actually very scary, but I did it. I wouldn't try to pull the old one off. the tabs are pushed in very had from the factory. plus I'm 100% you can't get the new one to stick like the old one buy just bending the tabs carefully.

I agree it was a bit sketchy taking it apart, kept thinking it was going to go of accidentally.

I can almost guarantee if you try and remove the old one without taking the airbag off it will mess up the plastic around it and the new one will not sit snug enough. I have no problem doing a video on how to do it if you would like

I've seen both videos. I'll try the shortcut first and if it looks like it's gonna mess up I'll pull the airbag.
