WOW! I will be getting my dad's old compressor as soon as I have room in my basement. A chisel will be one of the tools to go with it. It is an old Sears (Devilbiss) 30 gallon, but it put out great C.F.M. for tools.

Yeah, I was real lucky. It happened about 3.5 miles from the house, I was going about 35 MPH and was able to pull safely into a business driveway right away.

I have a rinky-**** propane torch nozzle that doesn't work that great and keeps blowing out. Not that hot and not effective.

I thought I was going to be in a real pickle getting the back half of the hub off the knuckle. I was amazed using the bolts to drive it out really worked. That hub was really locked in there solid!!

When ordering the hub online (while I was waiting for AAA flatbed), I was on the fence regarding buying new hub bolts. But when I was at the counter picking up the hub the next morning, I told the guy "if I buy them, I might not need them and can bring them back. If I don't buy them, I know I will snap one or something stupid will happen. LOL" That was the best $27 I ever spent!

Since you only need to thread them in part way by hand in order to bang the hub out, I am keeping the beat-up bolts for the next hub replacement.

A calm head and determination saved my butt and I feel more confident the next one will be easier. OK, maybe not easier. But, at least I have learned a few different tricks to bail me out next time.

I am learning a lot because of all you guys on TYF! Thanks!
So many censored words that don’t need to be. Wait…do ANY here really need to be?

Dropped her off at the shop.. finally getting the transmission, cam, heads, and a bunch of other goodies installed. Can’t wait..! Unfortunately, I’ll be out of town while the majority is being done, so won’t be able to participate, which I’m super bummed about, but closing on the house tomorrow in Texas, so can’t be here..!

There’s MOST of the boxes… I actually discovered last minute Monday that somehow I failed to order, or managed to lose the cam bolts, balancer bolt and a few other small parts..! Ordered from TSP, and called yesterday to expedite shipping, so those are supposed to be delivered today…

Nice not to have the 3rd row seating for this stash.... hope it all goes well. Should be even more awesome than it is now!

Too bad mine’s not a 6.0, but it should still be a significant difference..!

I’ve got to admit, I’m pleasantly surprised with this 300S rental. It’s solid, great power and even with my lead foot, getting over 20mpg..! I have never really been a fan of these but this is definitely changing my mind.

Hey @Rocket Man did you have to get gaskets from ARH for your headers? I don’t remember what I used the first time and of course, forgot those…

Yeah, I should have sent it a bit longer, but was across the street from my hotel. :emotions36: Not bad, considering it’s the 6-cylinder.

I noticed one of my horns isnt working today. Sounds weird! Can’t decide if I will just find one at the junk yard or buy something aftermarket or what, I’ve kind of wanted a little louder for a long time anyway. Not air horns or anything, but a lil louder

Hey guys, up until about a year ago my truck would hold a minimum of 40 psi oil pressure no matter the conditions. After a 6 hour each way trip in March of 2021, I noticed my "hot" oil pressure was around 30 psi, and last weekend after a 2 hour trip it was hovering around 25 psi.

Background: I have used Mobil 1 High Mileage 5w30 religiously since 75k miles, always change the oil when the computer tells me, and I've always used quality oil filters. I have also sent my oil off to Blackstone half a dozen times or so, and nothing has been concerning.

I figure my options are:
1. Keep driving it and not worry about it
2. Use thicker oil (if you think this is the right choice, please tell me what you think would be best - I'm leaning towards 10w40 if I make a change)

Any feedback and thoughts are welcome. Sorry to temporarily "hijack" this thread, but I post here more than anywhere else and respect your opinions.

Most likely you need to replace the orifice tube and the sealing ring / gasket in the pan. But if you want to trouble shoot more, please start a new post. It's kind of rude to do it here.
