I'm trying to determine if I've covered all the bases.. I wanted to do the intake as well, but just don't have the time to research, and figure out a parts list for the NNBS intake I have sitting here.. (along with a fuel rail..) so that will be later on. If y'all can think of anything I've missed, I would greatly appreciate your feedback.
Here's 222299K, because I'm too damn busy racking up the miles and completely missed the 222222..And, the view from the front window of my temporary residence in the am..

No matter how close you think your Bocce ball is... NEVER ask for the tape measure! If he says you are away, then, you are away. Leave it at that. After we bought our house last year, I discovered the seller was in the mob during the '70's.
( He did his time)...... Uh, remember the movie " French Connection"? He was one of them!
He's a nice guy.... Loves Bochy Ball..... Go figure...
If you're like me, I'd take another photo at 222333. Only had to wait 34 more miles for that one. But, maybe you already passed it...I'm trying to determine if I've covered all the bases.. Yup that’s on the list. Thanks, forgot to add it..Beautiful sunrise Sam! How about doing the thermostat? Just in case....
It’s a Melling high volume. Didn’t see any need for higher pressure, and she currently runs 38psi at hot idle.Be specific on which pump Sam. We have seen a couple of guys put aluminum block pumps on their iron motors and have trouble for whatever reason and visa versa, or so we were told!
Yes. No plans to mess with it at this time. Are you leaving your bottom end together?
Well, just make sure the part number is right, there's more than one Melling High Volume pump for LS motors out there. I'm not a fan of higher pressure or volume either for street cars. It’s a Melling high volume. Didn’t see any need for higher pressure, and she currently runs 38psi at hot idle.
It's part number: 10296. https://www.melling.com/product/gm-...ect-performance/10296-melling-oil-pump-gm-ls/Well, just make sure the part number is right, there's more than one Melling High Volume pump for LS motors out there. I'm not a fan of higher pressure or volume either for street cars.
I like the white gauges. Very visible. I sometimes turn on my lights during the day because I can't read my gauges.I joined the 200k mile club this morning on the way to work...
Needle on the speedo is off by 7 mph and the gas gauge is a little more than 1/8 higher than actual. The PO didn't get the needles in the right spot when the white cluster decals were applied. I use the DIC estimate on miles left in the tank and don't go down to less than 50 miles remaining before filling up.

Probably just a stock rebuild.9.5" Semi-Floater in your future?
On Melling's Parts Lookup, they show the 10295, 10296, M295 and M295HV. The M295 is listed as stock replacement and the first two are different levels of performance upgrades. The 10296 is higher volume and pressure. It's part number: 10296. https://www.melling.com/product/gm-...ect-performance/10296-melling-oil-pump-gm-ls/
I must have missed the issues seen with the HV pump. Do you have a link / reference?
On my list for a day off when weather is nice. I need to fix the two needles and solder the PRNDL connections. I go by feel on shifting, but it might be nice to see I am in R and not N, when trying to shift too quickly during a 3-point in traffic.I like the white gauges. Very visible. I sometimes turn on my lights during the day because I can't read my gauges.
Taking the cluster out to adjust your needles is a pretty straightforward.
