Traded the tahoe in for a super clean explorer. Straight across, and the explorer only has 60k miles on it. Build thread coming soon!!!

Filled up and reset my trip and mpg thing. Stock 5.3 with just a muffler on 33s I was getting low 13 mpg. So far I’ve driven my daily route and showing 12.4 not bad for a so stock motor

Yesterday I waxed the entire Yukon - inc roof. The weather was nice / 74 degrees & light clouds.

I will not have a roof that doesn't shine/protected like the rest of the body.
( Then it rained today - but that's ok.....)
I also really cleaned the tires / white letters / finished with "Meguiar's Natural Shine".

Uh, the flat paint on the roof rack.... It's in good condition, but any ideas for a good "protectant" on it??
So it stays good?

On another note...... The chrome wheels on that red Yukon.... They look nice, but to my eyes, the wheel design appear as if they are 15" - 16" wheels. I don't know why, but they look smaller than my 17" wheels.

Just finished up new valley cover gasket, knock sensor grommets, knock sensors/harness and intake manifold gasket. Working on this truck is a different challenge than my LS1 f-bodies years ago. This motor is right front of you but way up high. F-body was nice and low but halfway under the cowl.

Didn't see any fresh oil on the back of the block near the valley pan so I'm thinking my leak is probably rear main. I did buy an endoscope to look up in there but will do that later...my body aches.

Hehe. I had a brand new one in 94--sucked horribly, and the dealer was no better.
My dad had a 2001 fully loaded limited he bought brand new. It was actually really really clean. He never had any major issues with it. I almost bought it from him before he traded it in on the Tahoe in 03
