The new battery terminal I put on a few weeks ago snapped off.... so I had to go to the parts store nd get a new cable and terminal that was a *****. They put the grounding point under the exhaust manifold....

love that green polo metallic paint. had it on a gmc pick up i had.
The 10mm race ones are thicker so hopefully it holds. That's what I'm running..Installed Taylor plug wires, hoping they don’t burn on the headers too.

Did it go in that spot where it looks like it got hot on a couple pins? The one thing I don’t like about the factory harness is that the fuses and relays are hidden under the fuse panel part that’s hard to remove. At least on mine, that is. It’s hard to check them.Well the unthinkable happened. I blew a relay in the factory cooling fan harness. I didn't notice when I put it in but I may have had a lower amperage relay in one spot than factory. It was black and the guys at Oreillys offered a similar black one that was 35a, but the light gray one was 40a and looks just like the factory ones. I have no idea of the rating of the bad one. Had them order me a spare since they only had 1 in stock..Luckily the a.c. fan was still running so I shot her home for a quick fix.
If in a pinch u could always swap another relay to this location and regain temp control. Gonna redo a ground wires on my big 3 just because I want a better connection..

Yeah, the 2 hot spots match up to the melted parts on the relay. I've seen the 05+fuse covers have an access panel for the cooling fan relays. Mine is just has a couple of clips on the side that I pop up with a screwdriver and I can see the fuses It does suck they are out of sight. My stereo power wire is mounted to the fuse cover otherwise i could just pull it off. I did pull the fender brace off first. I'm going back in to clean up the connections after the rain stops. Gonna change the connection on the chassis ground and see if there is a difference. It's working again at least.Did it go in that spot where it looks like it got hot on a couple pins? Oh yeah I forgot I have to remove the fender brace. Thanks for the heads up on the cover- I never thought about the fact they probably changed that for the rigs that have that relay pack. I found a seller on Ebay that I ordered one from for less than $20 shipped. GM 15215145 is the part #.Yeah, the 2 hot spots match up to the melted parts on the relay. Did you lube the pins? One side looks like it might be sticking--if those pads are from the same caliper--or might just need to get a rebuilt one.Feel like I haven’t been here in some time... Brakes are all fresh! One weird thing I noticed was the rear brakes were shot but the fronts still had 50% left on them. Do the rears usually go out first? Either way I’m happy that’s finally checked off my to-do list. View attachment 206655View attachment 206656View attachment 206657View attachment 206658

YOUR FRONT BRAKES SHOULD WEAR OUT QUICKER THEN THE REAR. YOU'LL CHANGE THE FRONTS MORE THEN THE REARS.
Me too. At least with the stock brakes, like twice as fast as the fronts. Not sure about the Wilwoods yet. There is another thread discussing this right now as well. It is common on these trucks for the rear to wear faster. Not really sure why, but multiple accounts of this finding. Mine too.
