Yea i have a temp gauge. Stayed at around 160 for the time i was driving it around the house..

I cut mine out. Was cracked and had a small hole in the mesh, even one of the wings had a crack forming that I fixed. Has a tab broke off too, just playing with it to try and save it. But so much cutting and detail work to make it look good

Idk. It's not a common issue we hear about. Shouldn't be worn out. Nothing loose, everythings tight like butt cheeks

Why the gap? Did it loosen up or did the weatherstripping give up the ghost?

Got a question for you guys, my friend is doing my rear main on my truck at his shop and wondering what else I should get done while he’s in there? I have a few things in my cart on amazon; felpro- oil pan gasket, rear main seal set and timing cover set plus crankshaft housing cover. Anything else?

Have him change the oil pressure sending unit and clean the metal screen if your vehicle has the screen. I say this because you can literally reach right up and grab it when the transmission is out of the way and it’s not fun to do it from the top when it goes out.
