Not quite "today", but over the last 72 hours I've crossed a few items off my to-do list:
  • Replaced Engine Coolant Temp Sensor (Solved Cold Start Issue)
  • Replaced Rear Muffler Isolator
  • Replaced all interior lighting with LED bulbs
  • Installed WeatherTech floor mats
  • Oil and Filter Change
  • Had the tires moved from the flared 20" chrome rims that were on it when I bought it to OEM polished aluminum '07-10 Yukon rims I picked up off Craigslist with 4 new TPMS sensors installed.
  • Four of the manifold bolts (both fronts and both rears) where broken when I bought it. I've soaked the broken nubs and remaining bolts for the past week with PB Blaster, and then dropped it off this morning at the mechanic. He was able to extract the 4 broken bolts and get the rest out without breaking them. He replace the spark plugs, manifold gaskets and used the ARP header bolts I supplied in just 5 hours.
It was a nice mix of doing what I could in the time I had, and farming out some work to those that were better equipped to do it. I'm sure other issues will come up, but for right now my list is in good shape.

That's how I did it. Driver side blinks normally, while passenger side still flashes fast. Both wires coming out of the resistor are the same color, and there's no pos or neg marked on the body of the resistor itself. Has good connections on both ends. Confusing. I guess this weekend I'll either swap around the wiring or swap resistors. Could be bad. Thx for the help @DDenali , appreciate the input. :happy160:

@mmeachem the eagle eye can be placed inside the housing freely so I wedge a washer inside with the eagle eye with the stud sticking out and placed a washer on before tightening it with the supplied with the leds and added just a dab of loctite

An easy way to check if the resistor is working is to check if it gets hot after the signal has been on awhile. No heat means a bad resistor or connection. Compare the heat to the other side.

Will do. I've seen a few mounted resistors laying against plastic plugs melt them. Are resistors also called switchbacks?

No, switchbacks are light bulbs that start one color, then turn another color and then back again. I have some LED switchbacks in my front turn signals that stay white until the signal is turned on, then they flash yellow and back to white. So when the signal is on, they alternate yellow to white and when the signal is off they "switch back" to white.

Edit: mine are white until the signal is activated, then flash yellow, then switch back to white when the signal is off. Be aware if you use them: I installed them and found out the next morning that the only brake light that worked was the high mounted center one. I ended up needing load resistors in the FRONT marker light circuits. Weird. Anyway now I have all white lights in front which amounts to 5 on each side plus 3 more small individual LED's. (Yes I have full-time DRL's and fogs) Until the signal is on anyway. Probably illegal as hell LOL. The first pic is with lights on, no signal. The next two are signal switchback bulb flashing yellow. Sorry, haven't figured out how to upload videos from my phone.

Oh yeah I forgot... the 4 high mod too so the low beam HID's stay on when the high beam HIR's turn on. HIR's can't be color matched unfortunately. Now THERE's some lighting!

Ahhhhh... now I understand what you guys mean by the term "switchbacks".
My question is, how do you wire them up? Piggyback/tap into the turn signal wiring, using resistors?

Add your resistors and replace bulb. & on mine i did both of my resistors on the front and both still hyper flashed so what i had to do is open the t-connector back up and squeeze the metal piece real good and checked them again, worked fine ever since @Tonyrodz

There's a type B or 2. Thats what I have in mine.
Then there's a type A or 1. That is what red rocket has.

It depends in your preference, both are legal. Type A is more like factory like the new style trucks. Type B gives a bit more custom look and more noticeable imo, because it flashes with white and amber instead of only amber and the white is so bright it gets the attention of other drivers.

I went with just yellow flashing because there's another white LED that flashes white in my housings so it alternates between the two, one flashing white and the other yellow.
