Now that doesn't look half bad! Not something you normally see, but it does hide the ugly drop-down hitch every one of us that tows has.

Wish I had pics, because I had an old S-10 Blazer with a roll pan, I had a hidden hitch fabbed up above the frame when I put the body lift in. A piece of 2x6 steel channel with a 2" receiver welded into it, I had it bolted up through the body mounts and welded. I then used a flip-down license plate mount out of an old 80's Cutlass Supreme, and flipped it so that it would flip rightside-up. I then drilled a 4" diameter hole behind the license plate, and my hitch slid in.
I could reach up from behind the roll pan and pull the pin to remove it when I wasn't using it.

Plan on doing it with my Yukon XL, if I ever find a roll pan at a decent price.

Two hours to balance with stickies!? that's crazy, even for 26s. Guarantee I could do it within an hour and you wouldn't even have to tell me where you wanted to the weights. Some people just don't get it. You spend tons of money and time on your vehicles and then they do stuff like that, just blows my mind. I wonder if they even recalibrate their balancer for your wheels, unless they have a brand new top of the line balancer most balancers need recalibrating once a month and they should recalibrate just for your wheels regardless of when they did the last one.
Maybe that was part of their problem- its a brand new machine and they said it doesn't like my wheels.

I did the same thing on my tahoe last summer. It functions great and no ugly hitch hanging beneath the roll pan. I just used some 2.5 inch square tubing and made some gussets for bracing.

Now i just need to find some oem flares, another hard to find item, should have jumped on the ones @02_Tahoe had, but like a dumbass I hesitated, i didn't know at the time that the aftermarket ones had to be drilled and screwed on.

I have a couple sets of oem flares for a Tahoe. None are perfect but could be easily repaired. Pm me for details.
