I did it on my 02 so the wiring is probably different but I just looked up a diagram for the rear wiring harness, then I connected the Left rear positive top to left rear negative bottom, then vice versa, and then the same for the right side. It's a bit of trial and error too, so I'd test it every time you make a connection to see how it sounds.
That was my first thought, some trial and error . I need to look for a diagram for 03-06 so I don't short my entire bose system lol

Which "shift kit" specifically?

Sonnax "smartshell" or the "beastshell"

Close ratio input carrier.

torque convertor
Beast shell for sure, already insisted on that. He also said he would swap it over to a 5 planetary. Is that what the input carrier is? Looks like the carrier in a rear end to me from pics I've seen.

5 planetary is the difference between a 4l60e (4 planetary) and a 4l65e

Input carrier http://www.sonnax.com/parts/3734-2-84-ratio-input-carrier-kit

Sonnax 2.84 input carrier kit 77284-K transforms the popular 4L60 series from an OE “wide ratio” 3.06/1.63 to a “close ratio” 2.84/1.55 for game-changing acceleration on the track. This keeps performance engines in the optimal power band while allowing a longer pull in first and second gears, improving consistency and performance.

honestly... totally unnecessary in a truck lol. but why not bcuz racetruck?

So, when I picked up the Hoe from the place who did the cam, tune etc, the ac wasn't working, worked before I dropped it off. Wasn't that concerned at the time as it was still cold, I thought it just got discharged, no biggie. My buddy who did my swap put the ac machine on and we see smoke and it's hissing. There's a small hole above the trans cooler that the shop also installed, about the same size as the pushpin deal that aftermarket coolers use to hold it to the radiator.

So I called the shop to explain, nicely. Long story short, the guy insinuates that I did it and I want him to pay for it. I spent almost $4,000 and I'm trying to scam him for a $100 condenser? There we're a few other issues that went on that I'm not going to get into, but that raised my blood pressure big time! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! So needless to say I'm gonna eat it. If I go there there'll be nothing but problems, for me, I'm sure!

Just a few days late but Saturday I replaced my passenger side wheel bearing after realizing it was the front diff making all the grinding. I had posted already about doing the 4x4 delete. Well Monday on my way to work the driver side bearing completely exploded at about 75mph taking me for a 3 wheel brake less ride towards the ditch and my wheel, caliper, and rotor went towards oncoming traffic. Luckily it didn't hit anything and I'm good also. If the 4x4 were still in the truck I wouldn't have lost the wheel with the cv axle as a fail safe but it made me think. On the 2wd trucks there is no fail safe. Do not neglect your bearings. Now I'm going to be checking them all periodically. The driver side gave me no warnings as far as sounds or shaking so don't just wait for that to know it's broken.

^^Yes. Sanded, painted and clear coated. Looks so much better. The peeling was driving me crazy. Truck would be clean and look good until you got close to it and saw the peeling.

I had a great installer..we have the same mama and I'm an only child lol..

Seriously hate shops that do sub par work. They don't seem to do things by the book and don't respect my stuff like I do. I had my transmission in my GTO replaced and they told me a front seal was bad and I told them I would take care of it myself. , we'll while trying to remove the starter later to lock down the crank I found it was torqued to about 200ft lbs vs 37ft lbs it should have been..starter frame cracked when I tried to torque it back down..also my front seal had been pierced by what looked like a screw driver..this was a big named delaership...lesson learned..

I agree 100%! No one will respect your stuff like you would! Unless your son is your mechanic and you're leaving it to him in the will! Lol:deal:

Today I had a black widow 250 muffler installed on the stock pipes and WOW what a difference in sound. The hoe is sounding great now even the manager at the shop where I had it installed seemed awfully fond of the tone (he sells flowmaster). I also have had a fresh set of mastercraft courser tires put on and an alignment last weekend. I also used the wipe new headlight restore kit on both the front and back lights and it helped immensely. In fact it worked so good I decided to buy the plastic restore version and applied it this morning and what do you know it also works awesome. Buyer beware though dont waste your money on the armorall brand plastic restorer.... I applied it and it looked great...for about an hour! faded plastic was back within 48 hours completely. Before the day is over I will change out the front brakes and hopefully I will be able to detail her tomorrow once the plastic restorer has had time to cure.

Thanks to @TheAutumnWind I got some 1/0 welding wire, crimp connectors and a hydraulic crimper for my big 3 upgrade. I just had to try out the crimper and it worked great. Don't tell Harbor Freight though because I'm returning it after I crimp 6 lugs. I don't see me needing it afterwards and it's $40 lol.

Dumb question, since I don't know how to weld, when you say welding wire, what exactly is it and what's it used for? Nice crimp BTW.
