Replaced front diff, rear diff, and transfer case fluids. Tried to do a transmission fluid change, too, but ran into some problems. First the drain plug was completely rounded off and torqued down waaay past spec. Then I figured I'd just drop the whole pan instead, but couldn't figure out how to get the shift linkage bracket out of the way. So I ordered a set of nut extractors for the drain bolt, and think I might end up dropping the drive shaft to get access to the top mounting bolts for the shift linkage bracket, unless anyone else has a better idea how to get the pan down.
I think you should buy my Derale trans pan with extra cooling and fluid capacity that's in the classifieds.

Went to the salvage yard in hopes to find a cubby for the center console to replace the pointless rear entertainment.
But all I found were jump seats and consoles with the same radio face as what I already have.
Plus everything was covered in 4' of snow so I just went home cold and empty handed:(

Just make sure you tuck it inside the console because if you unplug that your rear speakers no longer work and I think that includes the sub inside the console as well.

After work tonight I decided on the rear driver side cubby for mounting my cheapy sub amp that's powering the factory Bose sub and cut a hole for it. I'll need to put 90 degree RCA adapters on it to make it fit but once those are in it should fit great. I finished up the night with a 3rd brake light replacement and putting the back half of the interior back in the truck for the first time in 3 weeks.

Really ? Hmmm I'll look into that. Thanks for the heads up.

Edit : Crap, says cubby/pocket is discontinued.:(

Definitely works that way for my '05 LT with the Bose system and the same for the '07 Classic I tried the same thing with. That said, I also plan to "delete" the rear entertainment with the cubby like I did in my 2500 but since I'm still using the Bose system I'll just hide the rear entertainment module inside.

Still looking for a write up. There has to be a way to loop a few certain signal wires and tuck away just the plug.

Replaced the crappy Clarion door speakers with new Rockford Fosgate 6.5'' front/rear door speakers and a new Kenwood HU...a little advice, never order things online after drinking a shitload of beer, i ordered 8- Rockford Fosgate speakers by accident thinking each box only contained 1 speaker in each lol...i now have 4 extra speakers if anyone needs them :D

How much? Lol

I did it on my 02 so the wiring is probably different but I just looked up a diagram for the rear wiring harness, then I connected the Left rear positive top to left rear negative bottom, then vice versa, and then the same for the right side. It's a bit of trial and error too, so I'd test it every time you make a connection to see how it sounds.

Just dropped my truck off at the tranny shop. Shift solenoids took a shit on me. I lost 1,2, & R.

What style?
web style
(pic for reference, this isn't my wheels)

I still have rubber on them, they are in great shape, with imperfections normal with mileage. All center caps are intact, but some of the yellow bow-tie paint is gone.

Oh the Z-71 wheels! I really dig those, what depth are they? I'm wanting to get some wider, meatier tires when I get my lift, And I don't want to run into any issues.

Oh, and I threw in a new K&N filter last night. The throttle response seems a little better, and it seems like the engine is breathing better now. Good enough for government work!

Damn, that sucks. No signs leading up to the failure?

Time for a shift kit and v6 Trailblazer torque convertor.
