What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I've been casually looking over the past week for Rotella T6 at a few Walmarts, where I usually get it, but the shelves have been empty. Auto parts stores were out as well. I'm all over the state for work so I was able to score the gallon jug of 15W-40 T6 I needed from O'Reilly in a podunk town an hour away from home. I started to think it was being discontinued. But it's just like everything else being in short supply due to component shortages.

I use Rotella T1 in my old motors.. Find it at tractor supply is about the only place I can find it anymore... I know they had T6 last time I was there. Worth a look if you find a tractor supply around you.

They (TSC) aren't too prevalent here but Castle Rock has one. I can also call around to Murdoch's and Big R to see if they carry it.

None are close enough to matter. I'm not having any luck with the farm stores so I'll just order it online. I don't need to drive 30 miles or more for it.

Red head box ported but factory turn ratios will solve all your problems.

came home from work, windows down i keep hearing this squeal sound, happens when i hit the brakes and after i let off for a bit. seems like a hung up caliper. ive not done jack to this truck other then oil changes in 3 years. so now work must happen. it was a good run i must say tho. tires need to be rotated, so alls not lost i suppose lol

and i just bought a battery powered impact gun and a new 3 ton floor jack, time to put that stuff to the test.

update, the squeal went away lol must have been the flood running i did. had to take my hoe out on the work route today because i had to leave early. and it stopped a hr into the day. did it on the way to work tho. crazy i tell ya.

i didn't really do anything except order stuff. Yesterday I came to the realization that there's one more thing I'm not going to have somebody else do for me anymore- tuning. Or in this case reading my PCM data to see why my trans keeps going into limp mode. I'm running out of possibilities and i want to be able to manually command shifts etc so I ordered an HP Tuners MPVI2+ Pro. And also ordered an internal wiring harness kit that comes with all the internal OEM electronic components. I already replaced all 3 shift solenoids so I guess I'll have extra. Hopefully this will take care of it and I can get on with my life. And eventually learn to tune. It's been coming for awhile, I don't like relying on others. I still think Blackbear is great for the majority of people but it's time for me to move on. I have no more patience and I can't stand waiting on someone.

My 94 rcsb c1500 is great! On oem gear box. Very tight compared to the caddy.

Well the brackets are identical but it seems the z71 bars are narrower by approx 1 inch. Damnit.

Can’t you take an end off and cut the bars then reassemble? Iirc they’re just riveted to the end brackets.

They are ******* on. I tried adjusting the bar length couldnt get the darn things on. Binding. May just drill new holes to see if i can get the width just right.

I’m sure my truck would still be good if I never sent my original to core heaven, when I did my whole front end I said ‘mine as well swap that to’ not knowing the dreaded days to come lol

I don’t have the dic on mine but by hand I average 12, I do not drive it that easy though I get up and go! 01 5.3L 196k
