What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Got some pics of the LED puddle light upgrades. For some reason, the passenger side has the Festoon bulb holder, which I put a 6 LED in, and the driver side has a 195 socket in the side, so I put a 5 LED flat plug that I had on hand. Why would it be this way?? I'm going to make a junkyard run and get another festoon housing. Here are the pics for comparison.

Did an oil and filter change, Installed the Monroe 90012 Electro to Passive shock kit, installed a new dorman air compressor for self leveling shocks.

Now I am trying to find a way to keep the self leveling rear shocks, but delete the RTD without cutting up my wiring harness to install the resistors. The coolant temp sensor uses the same series Metri-Pack connector, but with the tab index 180 off. Canibalizing some cheap CTS for the rear, but a lil lost on the front. Thinking I will cut the stud off the old front shocks, find a way to run a wire securely to the center conductor and nut a ring terminal to the shaft.... then I can install the resistors to all that stuff while leaving my wire harness alone.

Just cut the thing. You can keep em and solder em back on i guess if you want to later.

You are making it unnecessarily difficult on yourself imho.

I dont get the point of that kit... The front shocks are just normal el cheapo $20 monroe shocks and they come with $5 worth of resistors.

Atleast it is dirt cheap i guess.

Yeah, I am realizing now that they are crap shocks! Still feel like I am driving on jello. Wondering what I should get. I still want the auto level in the rear.

Everybody should have a nice set of security bits on deck. Now you have a reason to purchase. No big deal, they have numerous app's

Damn, that's impressive af! I can barely sew a button on. Interior is lookin good! And I might have missed the post or forgot, but did you do black carpet too? I think that's coming up on my list soon.

Been a while since I updated, but that's because I got married, and went back to school. Haven't had time to do much more than keep it clean. In last two weeks, I changed both rear rotors (the old ones were warped from the time I bought the truck but used them until the pads were used up) and put on new pads and park-brake pads. And put LED lights in fogs, DRLs and a set of switchbacks in on the front signals. Didn't install the resistors right at the beginning, because I was in a hurry, but I installed them today. Everything works great, the lights look super nice, they switch off the clear light and only flash amber. But I've discovered a new problem now...


When the headlights are on, and the Signal is activated, it flashes amber once, then stays on. It goes back to clear on the front, but on the HUD and the mirror, the signal is activated. Is this just a matter of needing the LED compatible flasher module? If so, what one do we use, or does anyone have any experience with this?

Fixed the LED flasher issue with a new flasher control module

Then cut the resistors back off. No issues now.

Now when I unlock in the dark, I'm disgusted by how yellow the other lights are, so I guess I'll be doing a full LED conversion soon.

I saw a member on here a while back on IG that put an 02 Avalanche rear bumper on his ride and I thought it looked pretty cool...so I finally found one that was in pretty decent condition, painted it and mounted it last night. Definitely changed the look and not bad for $100 and some paint. I might put some LED reverse lights in it one of these days too.
