Ok so what is the upper limit for warning on TPMS?

So far as I know there isn't one ... the warning is for low pressure.

Let's put it this way, the computer on my hybrid was set at 32psi for the stock 18s, I had my 22" tires inflated as high as 50psi and no warns, and onstar would send me emails with green dots reading 50psi next to the 32psi listed spec.

What does it say on the side of the tire?

50psi max.

50psi max.

There is an over inflation warning on the TPMS sensors. I've had it go off before.

What is printed on the side of the tire is MAX inflation that you can safely run in the tire before possibly going KABOOM!

Use should run near what is on the inside of your door jamb on the driver's side regardless if you increase wheels size or tire size. 32 or 34 should be factory.

So far as I know this is perilously incorrect.

You can't run all season 305/295/285 tires at that psi ... well you can, but tire no likey.

That does not make sense.

One time I took the hybrid for service with the CK375s on and the tech matched the door jamb psi for the 18s to the 22s out of habit/stupidity. The tires looked half way to flat.

So I just called discount tire for the heck of it. They recommend 40 psi. I told him about the ring around each tire and he said bump it up to 45.
